This video is meant to shine some light on a common issue on the Kawasaki krx 1000...SPRING SAG. Here is my experience on why it happens, what causes it and how to fix the spring sag AND get a way better ride out of your krx 1000. I believe the suspension to be the biggest plus to owning one of these Kawasaki sxs and this is one major thing you can do in order to retain that great ride for years to come!

D3 Offroad had said the same thing and he works on them, so I’m a believer, thanks for the info 👍🏼

@@countryslickerofficial I would probably get a used low mile one but in Ohio right now they have brand new trail edition for like 17999. That price makes me to just buy a new one lol

The caps definitely help but the gain is still not usually as much as the loss. I think a combo of springs and caps are the best fix. I have 800 miles and have only had less than an inch of sag front and rear. I guess I got lucky lol but when I need to I will do the caps and springs

I thought about that. Since new I've added about 200 lbs of accessories. I think that plays a factor as well

@@countryslickerofficial no doubt the extra weight makes a difference. I’m gonna do a cage this summer and when I do I’m gonna probably go ahead and do the springs and caps. For now I’m stock except 35” zillas. I have just under 17” of clearance. When I first did the zillas I was at 16” so when I noticed it sag a little I adjusted the preload and went just a little higher. Been 400 miles since then and still just barely dropped. Overall I love mine. Haven’t had any of the typical complaints you see.

Few questions: 1. How is your fix holding up?; 2. Did you end up having to drill, or just remove the torx screw?; and 3. Can you put a link to caps you bought? Thanks!

I did just remove the screws not drill them the fkx is holding up well and i don't have a direct link but it should be on fox website

I have a brand new krx 4 - 85 miles on it and with 35" tires I am already down to 13" in the front.........I have the Electronic shock model - the mfr recommended psi on this model is maximum 125 psi.........do you feel i would regain my ride height back at only 125 psi? most likely 115 psi so I am not at the maximum? or should i just get it over with and get springs?

Whats your aftermarket situation? If you've got heavy stuff like a cab, spair tire windsheild etc in there i wouldnt be suprised if your just too heavy with stock tenders and id do the springs. If your stock up top im guessing your shocks came from factory with little to no psi in them, similar to mine. Once you have 35s you should be MINIMUM 16 inches clearance.
