Thank you for the guide, I could do it myself thanks to you, To anyone doing this, THE TORQUE SPEC ACCORDING TO MANUAL IS 12NM + LOCTITE 243 THREADLOCKER.
Awesome! I really only make these videos because it's easier than trying to type it out and explain it to people. This channel will never be big and famous because I don't have that kind of energy or time. I just want to help the others that want to do just a little more to their bikes.
Hey Nico, sorry for taking so long. Both were great. However, the shift shaft support with the short shifter is amazing. It does make finding a neutral a little challenging, but it makes the shifts nice and crisp. That coupled with changing out the rod will get you a really nice shift.
@@RhoadsChristopher Thanks for your answer. Because of your video I was really interested in the shift shaft support and I would buy it, but unfortunately I just saw that the shipping to Europe is over 90$ 😔. Therefore I’ll have to look for an alternative.
do u think it will work on 2022+ RC390 with quick shifter ? the factory shift lever has tons of plays.... after i change to GP shift the gear lever have hard time rebound after upshift
I'm thinking about doing this upgrade as well. Since I'm opening up the clutch plate cover, do you recommend any other upgrades during this procedure? Such as clutch springs or anything else? @@RhoadsChristopher hi, my bike is from 2015 and the model too. So it's the revised version. I installed the original air filter, the Akrapovic complete system and the rapidbike easy
Sorry bud. I don't know how I missed this comment. It is definitely a very tactile shift. I do have issues finding neutral some times, but that's because I have the short shifter on which makes it a little harder.
After all the time you’ve put into that bike would you still recommend it? If so at what price would you buy to make it worth all the work it actually needs to be done to make it right?
I want one, but really don’t want a POS bike that isn’t worth the time. I already have 3 big and high powered bikes and want a small bike, but not grom size or power. Just something to rip around that’s not too crazy.
@@brendanflegle3326 This an interesting question. To date, I have only had a few problems. The one thing I will say is that parts are CHEAP when it comes to OEM parts. You could realistically be happy with just some minor fuel tuning. I for one have a hard time leaving stuff stock. This goes for my 91 Supra I owned and my current Golf R as well. The bike has good power for what it is but it really shines due to how lightway it is. I purchased mine for $3000 in San Diego and it was perfect for lane splitting. I rode daily and put on 20k miles alone in Socal. I love mine and will eventually turn it into a trail bike.
