I know Adam Driver had anxiety about seeing himself perform, but I really do wish they had managed to get him to do this. Matthew Wood doesn't sound anything like him.
This was the *Only* part of the show that actually felt like the clone wars with the suspense and dark with the intense music. Too bad it was only a little over a minute and a half
Eh, I thought the episode Missing Agent was on par with a lot of The Clone Wars episodes, as was Rendezvous Point (obviously this is just purely subjective).
Yeah, Lucasfilm should have asked Adam Driver to come in and voice. Mathew Wood's voice works if Kylo had the helmet on but when it's off he sounds so robotic. And as a hologram it makes it worse.
Why was him chocking that Officer and slamming him to the ceiling, while squeezing his internal organs as he squirms in anguish and dies a very slow and painful death in the actual movie not evil enough for you? lol...
Anime Genius, He killed him because he was speaking against trusting Palpatine and Kylo had made a deal with Palpatine that they were allies, and Kylo knew there were multiple Emperor loyalist in the first order some of which were in that room so he shut the officer down instantly just like Vader would have done to appear like he is following the deal he made...when in reality he was always planning to kill Palpatine. He killed that officer for a reason, I think he knew when he entered that room he was going to have to kill one of them to keep Palpatine in the dark.
@@Ivbo he said they were soothsayers at first sure, but then he asked a fair question as to what were the sith fleet asking for in return and Kylo just wipes him out
Props to them for not just simply using Kylo Ren’s theme from the movies. They remade it specifically for the show. Man if this was rebels he would’ve made them kill each other.
And if it was clone wars it would have been 5 seasons in with character development and even a new theme just for those charachters time together as we watch them die in each others arms, and one has to sadly get saved and live on to see it happen to others in later seasons. This wasn't a shot at resistance, just an over the top funny thing that let's be honest, is very true.
No joke i actually felt intimidated in this whole scene and i got chills when his theme started playing, i really like this since he was more angry and aggressive in the movies but in this show he's more calm. And especially since this show was mainly just lighthearted, this made things a little more dark
This scene is an absolute masterpiece. In less than a minute, Kylo Ren acts more like who Disney wanted him to be like than he did in the length of three feature-length movies. He’s menacing, he doesn’t tolerate any bullshit, and he shows his subordinates that he literally has their lives in his grip. Granted, he’s still as angry as he was in the sequels, but unlike then, it’s not in a violent way. Like Vader, he stays mostly calm on the outside to stoke even more fear in his subordinates. Everything about this scene shows the potential of Disney Star Wars and what it could be if it tries. Why couldn’t the rest of the show have had this level of quality?
@@MrAlexer9 I just went on a spiel about how this is the only good scene in this show’s second season, and I LITERALLY complained that nothing else was like this. I kinda hate Disney Star Wars actually. It’s so watered down.
I mean resistance takes place before the TFA and he has the scar that Rey gave him and they call him supreme leader this doesn’t make sense because Ren had a cape when he was the leader not a cowl like he has here
This definitely one of my few favorite kylo ren moments in my opinion it really shows us that ren Is really skilled in the force and pretty much Intelligence for the First order . And I like how he's a disappointed by commader Pyre's and Tierny's lack of stopping the resistance.
This scene proved that Kylo Ren has NEVER needed a mask or be portrayed by Adam Driver be terrifying. I know that my comparison to the Battlefront II version (default skin) and the one from the fan-film created by Blind Wave is a little unfair considering that they both are masked unlike this version. But these scenes of Kylo Ren are better than the ones at the rest of the sequel triology.
Dark Spartan I hate how the art/animation style is so inconsistent with these shows. Makes some feel childish and/or non-canon. I wish they all had the clone wars style to them
Dark Spartan TCW had the balls to kill people onscreen. And it killed main characters. This show is so immature, it didn’t kill anyone important to the plot ONCE.
Tbh I also want a Clone wars show in the sequel era, BUT, I want to see real war, I want to see these the whole galaxy and characters struggling in an actual war with death all around, Dave Filoni really could live up to that, and I mean if Disney give total freedom with The Mandalorian and the Bad Batch definitely a show like that could make the sequels more watchable..
@@lonelysatoshi2482 That's kinda what is so cool about TLJ, the war felt real, the Resistance were on their last leg and only barely made it out of the Battle of Crait. If the show picked up right after that, we could see a lot of the Resistance slowly having to regain their footing
@@splashnskillz37 Just an example. The movie Robots and Revenge of the Sith came out in 2005 and very close together. Ewan McGregor worked on both movies. He also played major characters in both, one he was actually playing the lead role in.
As powerful as this scene was, I wish that he had made them fire their blasters just slightly off to the side of them, perhaps grazing Tierny's face and Commander Pyre's armor. I feel like it would have really driven the point home for them.
I was thinking something among those lines too (like maybe he could have had Tierny shoot Pyre dead in this scene; would have both increased her fear factor far more and made Pyre's death far better than what we actually got).
@Julian R Man, I wish they made a Clone Wars like show for the sequels, to fix some of the problems and just add more to the Sequel era, it looks like they're working on fixing up the Palpatine stuff already
The supreme leader is dead during this time bow to Kylo Ren or you catch a case for high traitory! Besides, Tierny and Pyre or one of them should have stayed alive what's the point in developping these characters during two seasons to make them die they were great characters we didn't see their death and the destroyer wasn't completely destroyed on screen i have still hope pyre took an escape pod
Deadly Nightkid The First Order should’ve won in episode two, when they go to the remains of the opening of The Last Jedi. According to the episode, her shields were low, but somehow the Colossus held up long enough to escape the Illenium system. According to a guy who actually understands Star Wars (me), the Colossus’ shields were broken by the First Order’s vastly superior firepower, and it and the Ace fighters were destroyed before they could leave. Bam. Season two over.
I would love to see a Star Wars animated series set in the Sequel Era with Rey, Finn, Poe Dameron, and Kylo Ren in it and would he set between The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker. But of course with the Clone Wars animation and Daisy Ridley and John Boyega May even consider reprising their roles for the show since I can’t anybody voicing them other than them.
YES YES YES! I think an animated series headed by Filoni could finally start to turn people's opinions around. Though I'd be fine if they changed the voice actors.
If they do this, I PRAY they bring back Phasma and give her more of a chance as a character. Maybe, they could pull a Maul, and no longer make her aligned with the First Order, then only seeking power for herself, and revenge on Finn
Dang, Kylo seems so strong, it would be a shame if he somehow lost to a person who never used a lightsaber before in a light saber battle just because he has an injury.
They really tried to make him scary with him using the force and the voice changer but in really without the mask he really isn’t intimidating at all especially in that art style XD
Love it when Kylo Ren tortures his minions for their failures. Unlike Vader who kills his minions which while fearsome it wastes Imperial leadership something Palpatine was not too keen about, Ren loves torturing his minions and tries to break them.
I feel like this is another random show that my mom what would put on for my sisters because it’s a “kids show” that’s the kind of vibe I get from this
@@CouragelessOne i think it's about knowing the exact location and focusing on feeling what's over there, sometimes events are so big in the force that they feel it when they are "idling" this is that but done on purpose to feel what's over there and then they use the force within that space they are feeling Palpatine choked dooku from the other side of the Galaxy (through hologram) maul was able to faintly feel the presence of "something"( that something was Ashoka)
Because every season one of a Star Wars show is like that, only exception being The Mandalorian. Clone Wars wasn't good until season 3. Same with Rebels, although it had higher points in season 1 and 2 than Clone Wars did in those seasons. I think that, if Resistance was to be set a few years before TFA instead of six months, it may had been a long running series getting better and better with every iteration.
Akistalale This is more juvenile than season one. This entire season is just stupid ludicrous survival until the finale. There are no stakes, no excitement. This is the only actually dark scene in the entire show.
In the timeline, this is set between Episodes 8 and 9, as Kylo is the Supreme Leader, but why does his voice sound so deep? Like I get he wears the helmet to feel more powerful and intimidating, as it's a visual metaphor for him hiding his insecurities and identity from the galaxy, but he doesn't have the mask because he destroyed it in The Last Jedi. I get they had Matthew Wood do the voice and not Adam Driver himself, most likely due to scheduling conflicts, but it sounds nothing like Ren when he doesn't have the helmet on. Still it was nice seeing this scene of Kylo, once again showing how powerful and ruthless he can be, even more so now that he is Supreme Leader at this point in the timeline. Kylo Ren was without a doubt the best of the new characters in the Sequel Trilogy, his arc was emotionally satisfying to watch unfold. He goes from a Darth Vader wannabe to Supreme Leader of the First Order, allowing himself more power, but still conflicted about the terrible things he's done. I felt his redemption in The Rise of Skywalker was executed well, the vision/memory he had of his father before his death was without a doubt the best scene in the film for me. Adam Driver is an excellent actor, and he was one of the few consistent things about all three Disney Sequels. It's a shame Kylo/Ben had to die, I didn't like the kiss he had with Rey, but I did like the connection the two of them had. Hopefully going forward Disney plans out their stories before greenlighting production. Fingers crossed for The Mandalorian.
