Love your tutorial!!! I started with an H hook because I have thick hair, but the hat was too big and I'm using Caron Simply Soft...sized down to an G, same thing...next I took out the chain 2 between the double crochets and that worked better. Finally I sized down to a F hook and I'll see how that works...

As always Jayda, beautiful work. Would you believe my 21 year old niece loves that era and l just made her a similar hat. My older 23 & 25 y/o daughters have had years of me crocheting for them and they still cant get enough of the things l create and my 5 y/o son loves all the amigurumi stuffies l make him. Hi Jayda, I have been searching for a simple Crochet Beanie or a nice simple hat for some time now. I couldn't find anything I liked, until I remembered my 'Jayda file" of Crocheted hats, scarfs and other projects. I hit the jackpot with this Lacy Beanie Hat! It's exactly what I was looking for. I'm sooo glad I kept my Jayda file of patterns. And thank you for explaining the "how to" at such a nice pace. Easy-Peasy!

I’ve made bucket hats for the fall and winter…now making this to wear during the spring…made black, black and white, multi variegated bright spring colors…really nice pattern…love it. Had to adjust by only chaining 1 in the shells and no in between the shells for the perfect fit for me. It was to big the way the pattern was written. Will be making more…love them…thanks Jayda for a beautiful pattern!!!

Thank you so much for this video! I find patterns difficult to follow without several visuals. Your tutorials are so clear and we'll paced. I wanted to make this hat a little longer so it covered my ears well and a bit more fitted, so I followed the video up to the 11th row. I then did rows 12-16 using the partial split-shell stitch (1 chain between each set of 2 double crochets instead of 2 chains).

this is a beautiful pattern. i used half a ball of ombre mini cake yarn, added picots and also included some barefoot sandals to match this light and airy project. thank you for sharing! 🙌😉🧶💖

I hope you did well. You may know all of this but at settings you can set the video to go slower and it's easier to follow. Also on my computer I just hit the letter K and it pauses then hit k again and it starts. If I can do this anyone can. I am on my second and you can too. I told Jayda I put the hat I made in a shop and am trying to see if it sells. I made a large flower to go on the side. Good luck and always try again.

Thank you, thank you !! I love this. I just finished my first one. I made it with leftover yarn, and I am so sorry, because now I don't have enough to make the scarf. But not to worry I plan on making lots more, and they will have the matching scarf. I am not a fingerless glove person, so I need mittens.
