The main attraction when visiting Calafate is the Perito Moreno Glacier, but if you have another day and are looking for an easy hike/walk, the trails around Lake Argentino are very enjoyable.
It's the largest lake in Argentina.
The bright blue color of Lago Argentino is attributed to 'glacial milk' - suspended fine sediment produced by the abrasion of glaciers on rock.
Patagonia is known for impressive hikes. This walk around Lake Argentino is perfect when you need an easy day off but still want to enjoy nature.
