The BEST route up Dale Head!
This walk of 9.5 miles is mostly on clear tracks & paths throughout, apart from a pathless descent from Robinson.
Great views from the tops on clear days.
Arrive early to get parked.

Thanks Andy. This is my favourite route up Dale Head and I love the area round Newlands Church too. I’ve never been down off Robinson that way before. Is there much of a path to follow when not covered in snow? Glad the GPX files work OK. Thanks for letting me know they do. I have some catching up to do on your videos, but looks like you’ve been out in the snow a couple of times. Best wishes to you and Billy from Charlie and me.

@@TonysTrails it's not the best path to find Tony it's easier to find from the bottom I like High Snab Bank if it's wet there's plenty options to avoid the slippy scramble parts...Scope End Hindscarth is also a great option in the wet and to shorten the route Take care buddy ATVB Andy 😊

Hi Tony and Charlie, Just watched your Dale Head in snow video. Always enjoy watching Charlie and also Billy the Rock Star. Havnt subscribed before cos I watch most of them on TV so thought I would try the Laptop. I have just returned from a few days at Bowness. Weather was Ok but the tops were always in cloud but still managed a walk a day. Will watch out for your quiz and tell my mates as well. Good Luck. Dickus.

Hi Dickus, Charlie & Billy are definitely the stars of their respective shows! That Dale Head walk was some adventure. Loved every minute though! Good to hear you managed to get into the hills on your break. Good look with the Tuesday quizzes. Have you had a look at "Where's Charlie"? Thanks for spreading the word. Best wishes, Charlie & Tony.

Nice one. Been years since I was on those. I love those days you end up with more winter than expected. 👌

Cheers John. Given the forecast we weren’t expecting ANY winter! 🤣 It was great when it did arrive though. Just shows how you need to be prepared for ANY conditions in the Lakes.

MWIS for weather up here in Cumbria. Met Office complete waste of time.

I find them all pretty unreliable, that’s why it’s always best to be prepared for ANYTHING!
