@@REALPEDROGAMEPLAYS there’s an attachment to make it a carbine! It was originally designed as a mechanism for a machine gun but the inventor needed funding so he developed a pistol using said mechanism
That's actually a pretty cool idea. So, I have 6 rounds in the cylinder, and say .. a 15 round magazine in the handle, I now have 21 total rounds, and I can visually see if I've still got rounds by checking the cylinder
I mean maybe if you could fully load the cylinder and then after that it loads from.the mag it would at least give you more rounds. Still a pretty bad idea.

I like the idea of the revolver cannons, in many applications they do make a lot of sense. Unfortunately I am someone that likes extracting all the energy out of the cartage, so in practice I say stick with conventional cycling systems
Now i dont have the slightest idea on gun manufacturing dates. But could this be bridge gun between true revolvers and modern day clip fed pistols? If i remeber from some other videos revolvers has a risk of all the bullets going off in the cylinder at the same time so could this be a idea to keep the aesthetic, while removing that danger?
Im so glad we now have an actual breakdown of how thos gun fucntions. Untill the forgotten weapons epsidoe we had not real k owledge on this gun except for one picture and an explination of how the gun worked and the internal magazine. Its grewt to watch history be rediscovered !
I’m sure someone already brought it up but I could see this sort of design working for caseless ammo, by having the bullets away from the hot chamber you’d lower the cook off possibility problem that caseless ammo suffers from.
I feel like a modern application of this taking advantage of safe full cylinder loading & double stack magazines could be quite useful. A Glock 19 sized 9mm revolver holding 16+8 essentially.
It's similar to Condition 3 carry. Loading a mag and running the slide loads the bottom chamber keeping the top chamber under the striker empty. Pulling the trigger rotates the loaded chamber into the firing position, cocks and releases the striker.
I wonder if something like this along with the mosen sealing mechanism would help with the cooking issue with caseless ammo has during sustained fire. Hopefully the multiple chambers would make it take longer for any one to get too hot and the mosen like operation would allow for rifle length without other revolver rifle problems. Of course it would still have to be light enough to make the caseless worth it
I think if the design was quite literally flipped on its head, and the 'cylinder' lowered the rounds to the barrel instead of raised them, this guy could've been onto something involving a lower bore axis miles and made this thing miles ahead of its time.
Also this gun was designed for 2 reason. 1 the norway army was starting to look into semi automatics and fielding a new weapon for troops but did not want a weapon that wpuld be carried with a bullet in the chamber. So the ideaf of the landtad is two fold. Ypu have a magazine and semi auto gun whoch gives you repeated fire but the round being fired is always in theblower chamber until ready to fire where its flipped up to the top and fired and ejected
I feel like the automatic versions of Laser Guns from the Fallout 4 and 76 do a similar. The middle part of the Barrel spins the same way but alot faster.
