It’s a holiday today in Canada 🇨🇦 but glad to watch some brickwork when I’m not working just started as a labour about 2 months ago and enjoy it everyday
I have just subscribed. I have always loved construction and I think it absolutely amazing that you are so lovely and are teaching your beautiful girlfriend such a fantastic trade. God bless you both. Great channel!!!!!!!
Fair play charlie, we have been told to rip the plastic off if its wrong cos is cheaper to replace a bit of plastic then it is to rebuild a gable when the scaffold is down and it looks shit.
Been a chippy for 30 years, those bloody scaffolds 5 boards wide piss me off. Poles always in the way. Health and safety muppets look trip hazards lol.
Hi bud quick question is 32 years of age to old to start a course to become a brick layer? . I do have two years of experience labouring for a old school bricky nothing was ever on site tho. I would love to get back into it as I loved being on the trawl what minimal time I had on it anyway.
When big sites activity picked up after the end of first lockdown, they wanted as many gangs as possibles to bash them up even faster than pre pandemic to make up for the loss. But it doesn't work like that, or you end up with no materials since all the big builders did the same thing. Some sites have 25 weeks wait on roof tiles, 25 on bricks...it's ridiculous. Instead of having 3 steady gangs for example and keeping them busy at a steady pace, they got 6/7 gangs on some sites and materials can't keep up. Poor management.
Chris, blame Johnson's shitty brext trade deal. Most European lorry drivers can't be arsed with the customs officers. So they avoid travelling to the UK and thus this is causing shortages of materials / food in shops. The site I'm on now there's only 4 gangs building the houses and before brexit we never had a shortage of anything. Now we're running out of everything every 4-8 days, it's getting ridiculous.
@@wumpty93 Numpty, its got nothing to do with Brexit, factories have been closed down, so of course you are going to have less production of materials. I work in Europe and its the same here.
@@galdessa1 load of bollocks mate. It's never been this bad since we left the EU. I'm telling you now it's everything, not just bricks timber is the worst, always waiting for the chippys to put the joists on and waiting on the drivers to deliver it. Always the same story from the site agent, "it's been ordered not to worry it's due soon" 2 weeks later nothing but excuses and nothing turns up. It's the same from my local supermarkets empty shelves and shortages on basic essentials. Blame the factories all you want that doesn't change anything
@@wumpty93 as much as I would blame it on Brexit as well, it is definitely not the issue. Prices of timbers are through the roof in France as well, and the shortage of material is the same as here. It will just take a while till factories catch up with the demand...
How you going to remember to leave a link for the g string if you can’t remember the measurement it’s 3 meteres 200 lol how many times u going to say it lol just playing
