A small survival kit that can be carried in the pocket and provide you with survivability or at least improve your chances of survival should you loose your bug out bag or get home bag. Don't keep all your kit in one place as if you loose your bag you are down to pocket contents!

I think an interesting idea would be a deep concealed survival kit. Considering the scenario that most likely leads you to use this miniature kit is robbery or theft of your main bag, a kit thats able to be deep concealed would prove to be less prone to theft. If someone is robbing you of a bugout bag, then they're probably thrifting your pockets as well.

That's a very valid point, will see what I can do. Thank you for watching, it's appreciated 👍

I've made one of those specific for that scenario i.e. I get robbed of everything in my pockets like pocket knife, lighter, cash/cards etc. It's a homemade version of the Wazoo cache belt, made from an inexpensive internal zippered thickish nylon money belt. Surprising how much you can store in it. Even a Leatherman Squirt PS4 fits inside but I add another knife blade, a Ruike S11 (same as Bokerplus Mini Tech Tool 1), I don't rate those ceramic blades or tiny folding razor blade things they put in the Wazoo kit. Other items include cordage; water purification tabs; P38 can opener; alcohol wipes (also good tinder); small firesteel without the plastic bit on the end; stormproof matches; snarewire & fishing kits; bandaids; spare cash. It doesn't include shelter and container elements although you could carry a plastic water bag in it but being realistic almost anywhere in the UK there's litter including empty beer or food cans, and plastic sheeting if you look around and it can be shaped or cut using the small Leatherman and the knife. The advantage of this is if you use it as your daily belt you don't notice it's there and can't forget it, and nobody else notices it's there either.

@@simonh6371 that sounds impressive, definitely agree that there is always a container to be found in the UK. Have a good weekend mate

I travel away from home for work daily. Two things I would consider adding are a small channel lock pliers and a metal coat hanger. I role the coat hanger around a 6 inch pry bar and it’s already helped me get into my truck when I locked the keys inside.

In 1974 during my visit home from the university I brought back with me my old hiking backpack as the start to a Bug Out Bag. Later, I read an article from a hunting magazine on how to organize a small survival kit in case you got into trouble while hunting. This furthered my interest in preparedness & I decided to expand my thinking towards my Bug Out Bag. Your kit is quite similar to what I have but mine is worn on my belt & not in my bag. My Plan B backup bag can be unzipped to now form a daypack just in case we have to downsize & go lighter. I liked what you said about using the mirror to look at "naughty people" without them knowing & what you said about going to a bicycle shop to get "ranger bands." You've delved into an area where most people never consider.. The Plan B. Excellent presentation. Happy Trails. Cheers!

Nice way to provide needed items. I have a backpack that I use for an overnight bag in case I have to stay somewhere and minimal survival items. I like you idea of putting those in a separate kit that can be moved to your pockets. I also make sure I have a roll of quarters so i can use vending machined. Good oractical video.

Good video again. If I had room to squeeze it in, maybe a wee morale booster - sachet of coffee, boiled sweeties or similar. Even one would be a pick me up for me or for someone else in need.

Anyone who is making their own kit. Look in charity shops as many have little bags like this for 50p or less. Also look at old handheld games cases as they often have little mesh pockets for games, cables etc and are of a similar size or camera bag/cases which also have belt loops. Thinking how many may not have funds but may have most items to hand. Also have to think that all family members would need one so can do it on budget

Good point, I'm all for people using charity shops. I also try not to push specific brands as I know budget can be a deciding factor.

Well I notice you have done this before a time or two ,I was very impressed .I would like to see more of your survival kits ,I have travelled a bit and my kits vary from country to country as would yours I am sure ,but I do like this one for dear old England and most of the western world .As a "chance in hell" kit as I used to call them it covers all basic needs . I am fairly new to this social media stuff and getting to listen to people like you is always a good thing because while I carry my own kit and always have , I can't know all the tricks (though I give it a damn good try), and you are never too old to learn .Consider me a new subscriber and I look forward to more of your vids .

Didn't know what a radar key was, looked it up now. I keep a cuff key handy incase you need to escape..you never know. Also i carry dental floss its light, strong and can use as cordage, fishing line, floss etc

They are handy keys to have. I also have a British Water Ways key for freshwater access along rivers and canals. In a previous life I kept a cuff key tapped behind my trouser buckle. Primarily in case I was hostage, they'd take my duty belt but leave my trouser belt. Luckily was never in a position to use it 🤣. Spent many an hour learning how to use a paperclip to unlock hiatts rigid cuffs too. +1 on the dental floss, small, light and strong cordage. Stay safe and enjoy your day.

Hi, I think this is a very well thought out kit and thank you for all the tips and advice on items and why you have them. if i could recommend anything else to add i would suggest 2 things 1. A pair of latex gloves (or at least one) if you have a wound and only one alcohol wipe then you don't want to touch the wipe or the wound with dirty hands if you are not near a water source. 2. 1 or 2 rehydration sachets or tablets for electrolytes (may be a hot day and you loose a lot of salts in sweat while on route) Just some ideas :)
