Good question. Its common to find this technique started from the side and then stepping in front of them to execute the throw. Actually, I would say most of the time that is true. However, you can do it this way as well. This way is a bit more suited for a clinch position. So to answer your Q, this can also be called a belly-to-belly suplex, or a lateral drop (atleast that's what I and many other people I know call it). Either way the key is a strong arch which i try to illustrate. Thanks!
ur right he is coming in and using a whipping action rather then jacking the one arm up and then underhooking the other side and then feeding both legs through and then falling ,but this is a lat drop its just another way of doing it
im sure by now you have found your answer but in wrestling when an opponent shows his chest you must immeditely sprawl or risk being threw....Also you can reach with your over hook through his legs too the far side at the last minute and counter the throw but timing on both these counters are crucial.
This move also works EXTREMELY well off your opponents failed shot...just get an overhook like a whizzer, let him push into you, step in like the video shows and throw the underhook.
find out what a sink is.its something along the lines of putting your underhook arm on the inside of the underhook leg.he'll land on back when trying to throw you
@holdyerground1 I had 6 students show up thta day... he was the biggest. your focusing on the all the wrong details. ofcaorse its not goin to look like that. but im explaining how to do it. thought you would be able to get that...
We have the same throw in Judo too, you'll find that most of the same upper body throws are practically the same in wrestling and Judo as they've been cross pollinating for a long time.
guys its a demo. im not demonstrating how to hurt some 1 in a training session. its a throw. its mechanics. you guys are focusing on all the wrong points.
@uncballer25able This isnt ego, this is an instructional. sure i am bigger than him, but its a demo. I am not beating the kid up. he was a student of mine and wanted to be on video helping me. Dont be so critical.
stop using those little mats! dam r u training men or girls!!! when he gets thrown in a match there isnt going to be double cushioned mat... think about that.....
