I may be wrong but it is my understanding that these thinset mortars are NOT for large format tiles applied to CEILINGs. For large tiles on ceiling applications, I think Laticrete has Latipoxy 300 which is epoxy based. Again, I could be wrong but Multimax would not be able to keep large tiles on the ceilings. It may fall and hurt the tile setter.

I'm sold on Laticrete. Using the Multimax Lite and 12x12 or 12x24 tiles, tell me what size notched trowel that requires, please. Thx a bunch Jeff

@@laticrete I guess the form doesn't specify what a "large and heavy" tile is. Unless I missed it. Is there another reference but really just prefer a quick answer. What constitutes a "thin bed" application? I'm installing 12 x 12 porcelain approx 1/4" thick tiles. Is that considered a "thin bed" application OR a "Large and Heavy " application? Are mosaic sheets considered "thin bed" as well? Can you see my confusion? Thanks again 1/4" x 3/8" (6 mm x 9 mm) notched trowel Large and Heavy Tile Application 5.1 qts (4.8 L) of Water 1/2" x 1/2" (12 mm x 12 mm) notched trowel Thin Bed Applications-5.3 qts (5 L) of Water 1/4" x 1/4" (6 mm x 6 mm) notched trowel 1/4" x 3/8" (6 mm x 9 mm) notched trowel

I have Laticrete 253 Gold and the hell if I can find ANYTHING on it!? No useful information on the bag, not a single friggin video anywhere, Laticrete website gives you a picture, weight, color... everything but what you'd want. Even the QR code on the front of the bag is a dead link. Pules of useless information on the bag, think you guys could get a shoehorn out and wedge the open time in there somewhere?
