Jenny,. Layout looking great. You've put into Wear Yard a dedicated labor of love acceptance and accommodation Not to fret about the outta sight outta mind project place areas. They will come along in their own time till then smile be happy and marvel at your beautiful layout. And here I thought I was the only soul on Earth that had fallen down the endless rabbit hole. I also have a multi plethera of rolling stock freight and passenger. With no hopes of ever building enough sidings and quaint secret sidings under mountains and under Conjestian City proper. Am presently giving thought of beginning a moon based railway. Just kidding there. Continue to keep us updated on all the scenic bits and bobs that you're adding to be your layout. I do enjoy your videos. We will always be with you on your train and layout adventures. Take care and God bless you and your mate. Please remember; Every day is A Great Day to Run Trains.
Hi Jenny, it's looking great the new layout and the progress you have made whilst making the videos of it all too as has been a pleasure to watch...😁👍. I 've been re-building my loft layout for about three years and scenery side had stalled a bit.!!! Watching your scenery and the cobbled loco area build has given me ideas to push on with my layout.😀🚂
Brilliant stuff, you certainly have been busy. What a lovely job you made of the crossover, You must have a lot of patience. Well put together video. Theres always lots to do on our layouts and I think that is the whole fun of it. All the best Duncan.
The layout is fantastic. I like the scenery and the rock faces by the tunnel on the wall as a thin layer looks really good! I assume you sculpted them out of plaster. I am a track fanatic and I am impressed with the design. The signals are cool too. If I recall you made them from scratch. There is never enough room and expansion is always on the horizon. Thank you for the tour.
Impressive work, you used earth colour to paint your plaster prior getting ground foam on. I did the same quite a time ago and encountered the same issue: brown lurking through on all steep sections of landscape. Nowadays I would paint things dark gray. What do you think? I covered the steep areas with large foam pieces representing shrubs and bushes, taking quite a time.
I agree with zoe the cut on that tunnel hives it character. If was me I put a bit of green on it to show bit of a moss over it. Looks amazing set though
Excellent progress and very nice tour! About how many pieces of rolling stock were on the layout when you made this video? I think I'm going to use your "cobble" method inside my round house in way of the track pits. I'm leaning toward dressed stone, but the application will be the same.
its a shame at 18.57 that kink in the tunnel mouth, pretty sure that is the perfect example of where something like a 3d Printer could REALLY earn its keep in a modelling environment. you could just print yourself a brand new portal, but it does look like you have glued that one in place
just replacement with any portal would be fine 3d printing in this situation would do squat. Thinking that the kink had to be put in after the tunnel had been made and then it was noticed that it ain't going to work. can take a little bit of trial and error sometimes to make stuff fit. to be honest seeing as the tunnel mouth is higher up than the main tunnel I'd be inclined to open it up into a cutting
