Whatever its drawbacks, idgaf. As long as it won't be appealing to car thieves, I'm sold.

The rear styling for me is a let down... that black styling part is completely unnecessary. Feels tacked on. Its like wearing googles

Styling is subjective, but that tailgate cover does provide a great deal of protection that can save your paintwork!

The front looks decent but the back is a bit of a let down. Price wise in my opinion at almost R800K is high and not justifiable to over look a very low mileage pre-owned tried and tested Hilux or DMax if comparing between those bakkies.
@Muchudisi
@Muchudisi 2 месяца назад
Yeah, the back is undesirable
@m2ngwa89
@m2ngwa89 2 месяца назад
You can low mileage Hilux Rangers for around that price range... The pricing of this bakkie is off although it's cheaper than high spec Ranger and Hilux brand new but the fact it's still relatively new and not at a cheaper price point doesn't do it favour
@hopewellnzuza
@hopewellnzuza 2 месяца назад
@@m2ngwa89 Spot on! Can't just slap a R800K price tag coming in without credentials in this competitive segment.

As much as i agree with rear looks and price arguement, it is still worth an option considering that the Hilux or even Dmax you’ll be competing for them with thieves on the street.

Considering the price,if you in the market for a Chinese bakkie give the JAC T9 a try.Starting at R549k.Descent standard tech.

A Toyota's depreciation is minute, the Isuzu and Ford not to far off. At that price of R790k with major depreciation when selling or trading - you going to wish you rather went the Japanese route - who's service department and part available is far superior. Goedkoop koop is duur koop.

They have issues with early rusting. Its not zinc coated to prevent rusting.

I like it. I wonder if the communication between engin and gearbox is good. I have driven good Chinese cars where the gearbox can get confused as to what gear to be in.

Impressive power and torque figures. What is the clearance on this model and how does it pull? I assume with those figures, overtaking is a breeze. I hope it doesn’t suffer from the preverbal turbo lag most diesel engines suffer from.

Vehicle Length/Width/Heigh t(mm) - 5365x1900x1809 (All T60 Model derivatives) Tub-size - 1485x1510x530 (mm) Ground Clearance (unladen) - 215 (mm) Wading Depth - 550(mm) T60 Max Luxe The T60 has plenty of grunt and I imagine its going to tow like a boss. LDV actually did some reprogramming on the throttle response and took out the lag.

Tows well, overtakes well, but you do feel the weight. And since LDV did an EMS update the dreaded turbo lag has been significantly reduced to where it feels normal to drive! 👌

What is the difference between AWD and 4Hi?
@Autotradersa
@Autotradersa 16 дней назад
AWD will, in most cases, automatically direct the power to the wheels with the most grip. AWD is also often primarily FWD until the front wheel slip, then it sends some power to the rears. 4Hi will distribute the power equally and permanently to all four corners until you disengage it.

I was inquisitive I will be honest as a Hilux owner but 790k is a bit rich for it to be boxing in the ring with the holy trinity.

Hi Franscois, the true cost of Chinese built vehicles will soon start becoming apparent. If you remove the badge and solely look at port of origin, many of the cheaper vehicles on SA roads come from the east, that global exchange rate is going to make a difference now

Hi Nick. Yes when we have deligently attempted to return best mileage, a previous gen Isuzu did in fact give us as low as eight, but in the everyday get in and drive, sit in traffic and haul loads, many of the Isuzu's we've tested have averaged 11's. Thank you for your feedback it gives us a new element to add to our reviews in future.

That doesn't change the fact that it is not build here in SA, only if it was build here

It would cost $ 120k if it was built here If lambos were built in china. You’d be stuck in peak hour every day with either one or two of them here in sa.

Hi Franscois, Strange you should say that, we've received similar comments. It seems to be a Chinese manufacturer quirk as many of the vehicles we've seen in China personally have the same aesthetic. Iam sure the importer is listening!
