Le Fish flippy flippy fun 

This is Marina Ca. on the Monterey Bay. Take your electrics to Elephant Mountain. Take Calico exit (coming from Barstow) turn right then right again (immediately) then in about 100 yards turn left into the dirt. find the road and at the Y go right (it will feel incorrect but do it). Stay on that dirt road all the way across the front (west side) of Elephant Mountain, the road will take you to a locked gate. walk around the gate and go a few hundred yards to the second (little) out crop in the road: fly there. This road is an access road to the repeater station atop Elephant Mountain. Most cars will make it if ground clearance is ample. 2-wheel drive is fine. This is of course for winds from the west. the best landing zone is clear at the top, there is a small area where the rocks are smaller: watch out for the power lines lol. you should have no problem flying without using your motor: fantastic lift. Slope soaring is way different so having a motor as a back-up will be advantageous for your 1st few times. If you are rudder elevator only then get all the rudder possible: you'll need it for the very turbulent landing area at every site. Check it out! Enjoy: Robert

@@mikesrcgarage Yes Ailerons make a huge difference. Recent video: It came to a point that I'd pretty much shown my style for slope soaring and my camera (Go Pro) wasn't adept to powered flight where technical maneuvers come to be much more distant from the camera. I tried but it cramped my style to the point that I just gave up. Example: A rolling circle can't really be done smoothly/correctly in a close proximity and I've never gotten or had a foamy or even an electric plane. My Box wing video was taken by my son with my better zooming camera but he didn't find joy doing it so I let him refuse: All good, camera work isn't exactly adrenalin pumping so, I get it.

@@robertshaver4432 Wow I can totally relate to that. I started this channel with the hopes of documenting my learning of 3d with my gassers. For the exact reasons you stated I have never made a video of me flying them. Definitely need high end zooming cams and a great camera man. I almost stopped making videos as well for YT took me away from my true love which was 3d planes and helis. I fought with trying to find a way to mix the two but like you said the videos are just sub par, hence why most of my videos are drone videos "easy cheesy" lol! Well not all good cause yes I can make a somewhat cinematic drone video but I have lost my confidence to fly from lack of stick time. I often tell myself to quit YT and get back to my hobby. I respect your choice and agree 100%.

+Dallas Brooks Pretty near, I like to hike around in finding many cool spots to fly along the sand dunes between Monterey and Marina. This one is actually pretty close to Cardiac Hill where I generally fly.
