finally getting to building my 2000 tacoma! I put the solo motorsports 3.5 kit up front and the truck is out getting the rear done with deavers and 16" kings. I love seeing built non typical trucks

I've got a 2000 Crew Cab 4x4 red Frontier. When it had 247,000 miles on it I was driving one day, motor quit and it sounded weird trying to restart. Long story short, timing belt broke which turned out to be the original belt never changed!! the 3.3 is an interference motor so I figured it was shot. Saw that others who had snapped that belt were able to put in a new one, set the timing, and good to go. This was the case with mine. Now have 296,000 and she still running great, original motor and trans no rebuilds.

Much love for the d22....when I seen a frontier on my main page I was like.....wtf I always look for footage of frontiers doing fun stuff and its hard to come by...It was my first truck and I put independent rear suspension out of a 240sx and drove it with no bed forever and a xtrerra frontend (xterra crew)....I had ka24de and went turbo and loved it, it never gave me any problems and still have it waiting for a coilover conversion for the front man I love it and we are the few that didn't get a Toyota and struggle to find parts great job and cool to see that young guy with it.....reminds me of me when I was younger ....I got into drifting in the street then.....now I want to drift on the sand...thanks for taking the time to check out his truck ....and its the first time is seen yours......props on yours too cant wait to see it

That thing is sick!! I didn't think I'd see it mobbing that hard. Pretty cool to see the father and son relationship and them getting to bond and build together. I'm not gonna lie I'm pretty impressed at what this thing was doing. To think it only has 14in of travel and was gettin it that hard. Props to this kid man this was probably one of my favorite episodes due to the humbleness of the kid his stoke with the truck and their cool relationship. This was a dope episode. 👍🤘🤘

Love seeing the budget build from a young guy! My truck has taken me a while to get to where it is and I still have so much to do! But to be 25 and have a decent Prerunner feels pretty good! Definitely need to cage it but that takes the budget up a level for sure!

I have a 2000 frontier, CC V6 auto 4x4. It’s gone swimming, battled towing cars up hill in a blizzard and done thousands and thousands of miles off road in addition to regular work horse duty. It’s brilliant

I've got a 02 Nissan frontier, 4 door, long bed, supercharged from the factory. Vg3.3 with the automatic, 4x4. Love my truck, it's my daily on 32's. I've also owned a 92 nissan hardbody 4wd. I've never owned a newer nissan the my 02, but I can definitely vouge for the reliability of these older trucks👌 that 92 was still running great at 235,000 when I sold it, with very little work done to it over 15+ years. Just change your timing belt and water pump as general maintenance every 80,000, do your oil changes and you should be golden.👍

A sweet truck in its on right, but it's also giving me hopes that the Tundra will fly one day without cutting the frame apart.

I had a 01 frontier crew cab red, had it for about 3 years and every single day I breath the shit out of it and it held up, from jumping it on the beach to drifting, 5 months ago I lost reverse and still drove it, I would push it out of parking spots lmao, but my 3.3 never knocked or ticked and it’s still going now with 237,000

This honestly gave me some inspiration to do better for my 04 frontier. Whether I start offroading or not, I'm gonna build it up for better performance.

I'm running a 99 4x4 v6 lifted. Been running it on 33s for like 6 years now and I beat the hell out of it. Just recently threw a supercharger on it at 190k and she screams now. I'm almost sure you can't kill them between doing tug of wars, burnouts, gnarly trails and mud bogs.

I went with a Dirt King Race kit for a Titan and had Vegas Desert Fab adapt it to my 2003 first gen Frontier.18" travel up front, 20+ inches in the rear. As far as I know mine is the only Titan swapped First Gen Frontier. I went with a Currie axle housing with a Detroit locker, 6.66 gears Strange Engineering rear end and a custom 4 link. Full fiberglass and 37" tires

Man I wish my 2wd crew cab se had those upgrades. Engine is doing great after going through the evap system. Having the trans serviced and putting about 30k miles with going almost to 200k miles. It's a great truck.

Just got my 04 Frontier Supercharged Crew cab a few months ago, its been awesome so far, I don't understand the hate for these trucks, 90's & early 2000's Nissans was the R34 era, probably some of the best engineering was happening at the time from them. It's super rad to see other people building these things, hopefully Total Chaos comes back with these earlier long travel kits.

Far more interesting to the average ‘joe’ than the super expensive builds.

This is one of my favorite trucks you’ve had on. I wish you guys had more like this. Kinda over the unobtainable builds. Meanwhile I’m over here stuck trying to figure out how to use a dana 35 end on 2wd A arm snout.

Nissan Frontiers are good trucks, the only weak link is the rear end. They tend to leak from the axles and the covers as well as the yolks, i guess it is an easy fix if you use good gaskets and seals.
