Saying speedrunning is a lot harder is an overestimate. If you know the right strats and have above average movement and action making. It's pretty easy, Like bastion routes, stronghold navigation, triangulation, one-cycling, quadrants, E-ray, Calculated Travel, Educated Travel, Divine Travel, 5 Rd strats Etc. The only problem that new runners make is Lack of using the F3 Screen, Most overrated and new speedrunners lack the use of the F3 screen and just depend on RNG regardless of their skill. They also use old strats like Classic Trading, Killing the dragon the normal way, Mining iron instead of getting them from shipwrecks, villages, golems. Like Rek killed the dragon with the old one-cycling setup when it would have been much faster to use the new and optimized Setup. He doesn't even know manhunt, dowsky, Top down which are the most common bastion routes instead he does bottom treasure instead of top treasure. He is also playing on 1.16.4, which is the WORST version for speedrunning. You always want to play on 1.16.1 when speedrunning because in 1.16.2+ Versions the Piglin Trading loottable was changed and the WORST mob for speedrunning was added, Piglin Brutes. Piglin brutes hit like trucks. If you ever want to speedrun, make sure you play on 1.16.1 also DISCLAIMER OPTIFINE FOR 1.16+ IS NOT ALLOWED according to speedrun.com/mc.
I started running in 2021 and my first timed run was an hour and 15 minutes. I never actually planned to be a speedrunnner i just wanted to see how fast i could do it. Little did I know once you start you become absorbed. My pb is now 18:15 and ive spent far too many hours to get it

Pretty inspiring for me lol. I just started trying in speedrunning, and im finally starting to see improvement after lot of grinding. First 54 min, then 52, then 37, and currently at 30 minutes. Its cool seeing a top runner when he started out, just shows that everyone starts somewhere

In your speed runs, your biggest flaw is to give up on ‘bad runs’ it may look it at first but you never know what is ahead and it could lead you to victory you got this bro.

@@burbied667 no they don’t have to, there are three different speedrun categories from pre 1.9, 1.9-1.15, and 1.16+ within those categories you can play any version as long as it’s an official release that is not a snapshot. I think in bedrock edition it would be different because I think you can only play latest version
Dang. I’ve been trying to get into speed running Minecraft bedrock some, but haven’t done well at it, so it’s cool to see this success story, though I feel your pain in some small degree.
Dude, I watch every single vid u have and this vid caught my eyes, soeedrunning sub per hour? well, for a normal player it's really hard like me, when I first played Minecraft speedrun it took me 2 hours but after multiple tries my shortest is 30-35 mins. Nice vids!
I watched to whole 30 minutes without skipping and I can tell you that it is more entertaining than any other Minecraft video I have ever watched (And that is saying A LOT after the THOUSANDS of Minecraft videos I have watched in my time. well, you see speedrun strats like E-ray, Pie Ray won't work in multiplayer as multiple people are loading different chunks at the same time and the game gets confused and shows the E-counter and Pie chart of every player in 1. One-cycling is also very scuffed in multiplayer and if the server has low ram, it's impossible due to the dragon lagging out, if you still struggling to speedrun after 1 year, I can help you, I try to help everyone who are struggling to speedrun or it's just impossible for them

this was a really good video, the editing was amazing and he is good at speedrunning there was only one thing that kept annoying me though: bro kept resetting on oceans
I love Couriway's speedrunning tutorials they have very helpful tips I learned how to use some debug pie chart to find nether fortresses, bastions and even a village thanks to that technique. Still, I cant figure out how to do triangulation.
I used to be a speed runner so sub 60 is really good considering you've never tried it before and didn't really put in that much research you just watched some videos. Once you learn how to efficiently loot bastions and calculate the distance you are from the stronghold, you can start to bring the time down by loads. Also with the pearl trades you want to be on 1.16.5 (I think that's the best anyway) cuz the rates are much better. My best time is 00:14:50 but it took me so much practice. This is completely random but one tip which I like to use at the start if there is a village nearby is something called the cod bucket Strat where you trade 3 emeralds (which can be obtained very quickly through the farmers and their crops) for a bucket of cod which you then empty and you have a water bucket meaning you can use the iron from the iron golem on something else like a flint and steel, iron pick for gold and if you feel the need to make one, a shield.
