It is probably one of the better China Wonders I wound up with based to thinness of grind. I heard about many who got the ‘stabby pointed’ W59 with nice hollowing. Mine is probably half hollow plus. Always a crap shoot to buy.

I really do not consider myself a honing expert, I have just put in the time, testing and resources to make ‘myself’ happy using a crowned surface hone. I never excelled to a level that pleased me using flat stones. Not that it cannot be done, I have shaved with many fine edges from others who have favored that method. Before anyone ever decides to jump into honing, it would be good to gauge how much they are willing to invest.
Hey Bill! Hope you had a great Resurrection Sunday! It amazes me how people are still adamant about honing a certain way. It's a straight shaver's prerogative to sharpen his razors any way he/she deems fit. I believe there isn't a one size fits all when it comes to honing. Anyway, great shave video my friend. Thanks Joe. I found it interesting that the Bludgeon & Beatdown forum even ran off Slash McCoy who more than anyone else made honing with lapping films popular. I imagine that Steve56, GSsixgun and DaltonGang have managed to bring in plenty of new folks at TSD since they got Little Jody to see to my ejection. Hate to say it Joe, but forums as we knew them are fading.
@@billm.2677 It's a shame how our freedom of free speech has been suppressed to such a level that it has trickled down to shaving forums. It kind of defeats the purpose of sharing info on these forums. Isn't that's what it's all about? Lol. As an aside, I don't know if you are aware, but Chris aka Bama Samaurii passed away last month. He was only 49. Got it from Charlie aka wristwatchb. His family only wanted a few people to know so since you are no longer at TSD I didn't see the harm to let you know.
