Hi, I have an issue with Office365users.Managers, it does not read that and also no patching is done between the app and Excel, only the collections are updated. Can this be fixed?
I have created an Absence App, created from a sharepoint list. I want the app is read a balance and deduct as absence is taken. I have looked at the template, but I am happy with my sharepoint lists, as its simple and does the job. Does anyone know, how can i add a check on the app to look at a balance and update it for the user, preferably on a list or in excel.
Once you hit make my own remove and reattach the datasources to new excel file in OneDrive for Business. Add data sources for office365Users, Office365 and I added ExcelOne(Business). Save app, close it and all windows to make sure you're not still connected. Reopen app and it should automatically update. My only issue is when testing the app it sends the approval email to me and not my manager.....a whole other issue! On to PowerApps Community I go!!!

Great video. The "Make my app" prompt either doesn't show for me or it popped up and I didn't click it in time. What can I do not to customize the app? I tried creating a new one, but no prompts to be found anywhere.
I don't get the popup asking for making the app my own at all. So I am not able to make it my own and choose where to store the data. Any idea why? Tried several templates and I don't get the popup on any of them.
Hi, I would like to edit the process so that someone who joined the company during the year doesn't have the same balance as any other employee. Would that be possible? Also looking into exporting leaves into an outlook calendar. Thanks
Hi, thanks for watching. Yeah, both of those things are possible to do. For the first one it will probably require some logic in the Powerapp and maybe an additional SP list or schema modifications to the existing SP list. For the second one, you can use the Office 365 Outlook connector.
This works in the APP with collect data set, but not recorded in excel file. When I refresh APP, data is cleared. Also I found that there is some hardcode in the App object 'onstart'. Do I need additional work for use excel file ?

After the "Getting things ready" stops spinning I do not have a yellow bar to "Make my own App" and I don't have any Excel files in my OneDrive. Am I doing something wrong?

@@ToddBaginski Thanks so much, this looks like a great tool, hopefully they can fix it. I'm actually looking to use this as a "Deliveries" app, it has very similar functionality as to how you'd notify reception of incomings or outgoings, and then reception could look at what is incoming, then notify the user upon arrival. I guess I'm being lazy, but I hope they fix soon, i want to store my own data, and see how it works asap. Thanks again for the brilliant work.

The PowerApps team is working on fixing the deployment issues that are causing what you see in the app checker. Stay tuned, they should be releasing a fix soon.

Hi, When I choose to save the app to Onedrive for business, the app gives a bunch of errors, it cannot even show the navigation menu. Also, the excel was created in my Onedrive, but there is no data Any idea why?

The PowerApps team is working on fixing the app so it deploys correctly when you click Make it my app. I don't have an official ETA but I expect it will be this week or next.

@@ToddBaginski I just make the app today. It did not prompt me to "Make your own version of app by connecting to data storage..." But it does ask for permission to my Office 365 users and Office 365 Outlook accounts. The app works fine, but I can not find where the excel sheet is being stored, it isn't in my OneDrive anywhere (I also watched your video on "Where is the Excel Workbook my PowerApps uses as a data source", but the json doesn't help). Any idea where it is being stored? I am interested in moving it into SharePoint. Thanks!
Hi I am new to powerapps , tried this app serval times, I face two issues 1. when i don't make it my app, the request is received by the employee itself and don't go to manager / 2. when I make it my app everything in it disappears .

@@ToddBaginski The provisioning is not broken. The "make this app your own" has been removed from all templates by Microsoft. Any information on how to manually build a data table by inspecting the PowerApp itself?

You can modify the code to make checks to things like a hard coded collection of user names, AAD group membership, a table in a database, whatever you like. The easiest way is to hard code a collection of manager email addresses into the app and check if the current user's email address is in the collection when the app starts.
