Skip makes no sense, LeBron shooting more 3s has a lot more to due with extending his game vs trying to catch Kareem. If he stays healthy that record is pretty much in the bag. LeBron could play for 4 more seasons and average 18-20 ppg and it's a wrap. I'm sure LeBron would much rather have another ring and FmVp under his belt vs the all time scoring title

It is all about efficiency and not how many times a player shoots the ball. Lebron James is second to Michael Jordon on the All-Time Player Efficiency Rating Leaders list, and neither Kobe nor KD is close. Take note that he is second to MJ by a very small fraction. You need to stop using hatred to discredit people.

He’s always been the system & lead the offense & had it all go thru him. & KG & Duncan were more about defense which Lebum barley plays because it protects his body & lets him focus on his stats more. & Vince & Pierce weren’t great scorers like that & their last few years were ceremonial, same with Dirk, those guys really only played like 16-17 seasons. & All those guys played in tougher eras against more defense. & don’t even start with Kobe, he played in a system & in a tougher era against more defense & he actually played defense. He didn’t get to start much in his early years like Lebum did, he was one of first straight from high school & he went to a more storied franchise. & He really only played 19 seasons because he only played 6 games the year after he tore his Achilles then he tore his rotator cuff & those last 3 years cost him a lot of points as well as playing with Shaq for 8 years.

Yes, and they are all unique with their own specialties, talents and view of the game. Kareem had the skyhook, size, rebounding, IQ, humility and longevity. MJ had speed, athleticism, handles, drives, mid-range shooting, post-up (by far the most underrated aspect of his game), and size (for his position). LeBron has speed, athleticism (not as much anymore), passing, rebounding, post-up, size, drives, IQ, and longevity. Thing is, LeBron's greatness is harder to understand because (a) it is a multiplicative relation between abilities (not additive) and (b) more team-oriented. It all breaks down to how you subjectively view and appreciate the game. It is much easier to understand scoring. It's just a matter of how you prefer to win the game. You want to win with an unstoppable shot from the post? Go Kareem. You want to win with incredible shots from mid-range or circus shots near the rim? Go MJ. You want to win with passing and a little bit of everything? Go LeBron.

Basically he looks to enhance his teams play by getting shooters open shots when he goes to the post or drives it to the basket. Everyone does this. But lebron is the type to do it 9/10 times if they are open. Whether its 4th quarter or 1st quarter. Tie game, behind, whatever. He wants to make the right play is what that means

He's not a pass first player. Amazing point forward. Great passer but guy has led his team in FG attempts on his team every season except Kyrie's last season in Cleveland and even then that's a handful of shots. He's been top 10 in FG attempts in NBA in like 15/16 out of 18 seasons. People make it seem like he has never been a 1st option or doesn't shoot it often. Not including this year since it's only a quarter through. Amazing player. But this pass first argument just isn't true, we aren't talking about Chris Paul, Rondo or someone like that. He's probably best blend of scoring and passing ever, then yeah I will agree with that. But LeBron has always been in top 10 even top 5 in FG attempts in NBA every year that he doesn't miss significant amount of time.

I just want to say that I've never heard *anyone* criticize any other athlete in all of my life for losing in their respective championship games. Yes, you say they lost, or they couldn't get it done, but that's that. LeBron is the only athlete I've ever seen where people would rather he had not made it to 10 (10!!!!) (and like 8 straight) Finals and lost in the playoffs or not made the playoffs than get there and lose. This logic isn't used with any other athlete in history.
