Hi mate I would recommend not breeding for the first two years get used to owning them if you're new too the hobby not being horrible or anything it's just I've seen people jump into it because they think geckos are cute or can make money of them and then very thing went wrong they invested all this money and then try to sell them on because they didn't know as much as they should not saying that will be you but that's what I've seen hapoen

Would you be able to do a video about how you are able to manage all the costs of caring for your animals? like previous or current jobs you had, or things you did to make side money? Hey I was wondering if you can do a video of what to do during an extended black out. I live in Michigan and winters here,we literally had our first storm of the year today and its only gonna get (even though we got 2 feet of snow and ice already) anyway I got off topic, um, power outages tend to happen about this time for us and I'd like to know what I need/can do for my scale babies when the power DOES go out. People love to argue So I have a water bowl in my lepard gecko tank and every night I see him drink from it I spray his viv down in the morning. To water the live plants but at night is when leopard geckos are awake and when drinks from his bowl. I feel they do need water in the tank My opinion but hay Leopard gecko are nocturnal/crepuscular

I am wondering I am getting a leopard gecko in a while and I want to get a baby. When should I transfer him or her into a larger tank? I have a Exo Tara tank that is the large size that will be their adult home. So what size would best suit it when I get them from the breeder and when can I put it in the larger final tank?

I got a baby that had MBD because the breeder kept its calcium and water in those little water bottle caps and the calcium gets wet then solidified so she wasn't able to lick it.

Get a 30 if available and follow proper cohab guidelines. I have a video on it. Also, if you have no money rolling in, do not breed, you'll need money, trust me.

Hi mate you have some good knowledge on them but I gotta say yes leopard geckos do drink from still water it's good to have a bowl of some sort in their viv/tub so that they can choose to drink from it when they want (should be water changed every day to two days)

Although I kept leopard geckos for close to a decade without standing water with zero issues, I do keep them with standing water now and advise in the videos to do the same.

can i use a water vinegar 1:1 to clean the tubs? it's what i use for my rats and hamster cages and it works wonders...but i don't know if it's safe for the geckos

My husband has had his leopard geckos for about 4 years. They never mated so we just thought they were both boys, Bob and Spot, weve always kept them together in their tank. About 1 week ago Bob laid an egg. My husband and I were both so impressed. We made and incubator for the little egg and everything is going great. The only issue is that Spot and Bob keep fighting. We are really new in this so if someone can please help us. Do we need another tank for Bob?, Is this normal? 😭 hope you guys read this please helpp

totally depends, really the season can be 365 days. I always start pairing in January and all the eggs are hatched by about august or maybe earlier

If you are unprepared or don't want babies, you can freeze the eggs to humanely euthanize.

Put them in a moist box next to the hot side of their tanks. Then buy a second hand incubator to save money.

Sorry to be one of those pesky commenters that comment on the standing water... but dude I've witnessed many times my geckos drinking from there water dish, but you also can't put a water dish in and expect the leopard gecko to climb and balance and drink, it has to be accessible, and yes I give them water on the sides as well to drink every time I refill the water and the water is on the cold side so I don't have a huge spike in humidity

Jessica Abbate takes some time. Some are super easy and others take a little while. Start young and be persistent and it shouldn’t take very long

Sand is not good for Leos. As he said in the video, loose substrates, especially sand, can cause impaction (the leo accidentally eats the sand with food and it gets stuck in the stomach and dies). Even more prevalent in babies. Use reptile carpet, tile, or paper towel. You use heating pads or heat tape wired to a thermostat to heat the racks. I'd recommend having owned several leapord geckos for a couple years before you even consider getting into breeding.

Was een grappige opmerking van je haha. Ik heb veel films van je gekeken, om informatie te krijgen. Sinds een paar weken heb ik een sneeuw Leopard Gecko gekocht een man. En een luipaard gecko vrouw. Beiden 6 jaar oud. En 6 jaar in het zelfde ruime terrarium. Ik zie bij het vrouwtje eitjes in haar buik zitten. Ze is heel lief en tam. De man is wild. Maar bijt niet in mijn nek liggen vind hij prima. Maar word liever niet opgepakt. Dan rent hij wild weg haha. Zie het mannetje het vrouwtje bijten, maar bijt niet hard. En ze doet niks terug. Moet ik ze uit elkaar houden? Kan dat wel een man en vrouw altijd samen in 1 tank? Heb begrepen dat een gecko alleen gelukkiger is? BVD en veel succes!

Also haven't had this issue of killing tank mates amongst the younglings.... been keeping them for 5 6 and 7 months I do separate the adult males however And the females usually are no issue

Where do you sell the babies? I wanted to buy a male raptor or super raptor but I can't really find and local breeders here in hamilton that sells that morph. Most just sell the normal or tangerine morph that you can really find everywhere
