Rebecca Caine is my personal favorite. Amazing voice.

Irena, I was lucky enough to meet her when she was doing opera. My voice teacher was the opera chorus director--he told her what a fan I was and she invited me to visit her backstage after the performance. She was a class act and such a lovely person. Still, one of my favorite moments in my life. :)

Katie Hall is my personal favorite, I loved her young interpretation of Cosette, I didn’t really empathize or resonate with the character until her interpretation.

My favourite is Rebecca Caine. I know he originated the role, but I was lucky to see her live and she was great.

Actually, I did see my first blonde Cosette (Regan Thiel) in the touring company in 1999. At that time period, it was a shock to me. ;)

That’s because the original Les Mis production (the one with the revolve) has Cosette in black dress and dark hair. Only in rare cases does Cosette have blonde hair. Blonde hair Cosettes became regular when there was a new production and they put Cosette in blonde hair and blue dress. The new production slowly changed the old one (the one with revolve)

Wow! I saw Les Miz on Broadway in 1988. I heard the London recording probably in 1986 when I was in college. I can only comment on the actresses from recordings that touched my life during that time and whom I saw live. The four recorded Cosettes whom I feel vocally touch me the most are :Rebecca Caine, Marie Zamora, Judy Kuhn and Martina Dorak. Of the actresses whom I saw live would be Theresa Borg, Regan Thiel, Tracy Shayne and Stephanie Waters. I am glad you posted Theresa singing well because when I saw her, unfortunately her voice was extremely tired & she was having many problems. Regan Thiel: very strong voice & the only Cosette I've heard or seen who went sharp on the ending note in the 2nd act reprise. Tracy Shayne: great upper range but the voice was extremely small & Stephanie Waters: saw her twice and nothing good or bad; just not memorable.

Julie is now on Broadway in Funny Girl. When Beanie Feldstein left and Lea Michele not coming on board until September. Julie moved from standby to the lead for the month of August and will be alternate on Thursday nights. Lovely voice.

could you do one of cosette doing one of her solo bits and not have it mixed up with marius and eponine's bits? other than that, really liked it. oh and do a marius one please =)
