Good on ya for sticking to your guns (well, knuckles) for the area boss fight. As the old saying doesn't quite go, keep your friends close and your potions closer.

Good thing all Castlevania heroes can slug down a health potion in under .000247 seconds! Potions will never betray you. (Unless they are poison.)

Glad you mentioned Bloodstained, I'm definitely excited for it. For now, though, in terms of my Metroidvania needs I've been mostly playing Metroid: Samus Returns and Axiom Verge, so I'm more on the sci-fi side of it currently. I hear a lot of good about Hollow Knight, too, so that's another one I want to check out. And yeah, the Buried Chamber is a bit lacking of an area. It always gave me the impression that they might've had bigger plans for it early in development but they just didn't cut it. Still, always nice to get some more castle exploration with a good tune to go with it! As for the Behemoth boss fight, close range definitely doesn't do that well huh? Took me a few tries to take it down the first time, I do remember.

I have also been playing Axiom Verge which I am seeing as one of the more impressive Metroidvanias I have played in great while. Bloodstaind will hopefully satisfy that rather empty spot of lacking Castlevania games but news on it has been pretty scarce recently. There is some filler in this game to be sure but having unique music for areas like the Buried Chamber does give it some purpose other than a transition to another part of the castle. Punching demon bulls might not be the best idea I have had!

you pronounced Michiru's name correctly. Also I can't wait for Bloodstained. This is the first time I've been looking forward to a game's release for longer than a month lol. I also get a kick out of you calling him I G A. I hope you know its just a shortening of his last name, Igarashi.

The quests are a nice add on for sure. It's never a good idea to use fists of any type in these games, it's just harder to avoid attacks kinda like that behemoth used.

Yeah, fist weapons are more for a challenge or change of pace. It is almost always wiser to use something with more range.
