This is so true....they have their own journey in this life. People make bad decission and give up the best people they could have had.. Leaving is their choice and it's sad they messed up. It is not your place to change their mind or tell them that, it is your responsibility to accept, and respect their choice and walk away.

People forget how valuable time out and walking away knowing ur truth and leaving urself in peace is.

My bad days are so much less bad than they used to be. I considered today a bad day but I realized I didn’t even cry. I do believe our relationship was great, and I am a great partner despite my mistakes. I’ll be a little uneasy next week, as that’s the last planned event I bought us tickets together for (I’m still going with friends!) but I’ll ride it out. If his love for me was real, the nostalgia will be powerful someday.

Thanks for the videos, mr Lee! It really gave me comfort at some point, made my days go faster. It’s been about 90 days in no contact, still going strong. I’ve been working on my self ever since, I’ve lost about 25kg in the process, started doing photography and worked on my career, all the good stuff. The truth is, I’m not afraid that I’m moving on, I’m afraid that when I move on, I may not be committed to someone the same way I was to her, because if I am I may get hurt the same way.

When he talks about the stages your exes mind goes thru I realized that we need to let the ex go thru the relief period without reaching out so that he/she starts to become curious. That’s what taught me that not speaking to them had to happen for things to go in my favor. It makes it a lot easier to not reach out and give them the breakup.

Honestly since I found your channel I started feeling better since my ex fiancé dumped me over stupid reasons and lost a lot of money, I’ve been blaming my self everyday. But your messages are helping me seeing the truth and regain my self worth and confidence.

This November will be four years since my ex left me and the day I went instant no contact. Unfortunately I will never get over her. The way I see it is if I'm not over her by now that I never will be. I caught lightning in a bottle with her don't ever expect to do that again. I’m trying so hard! My husband left me for no legit reason! I held him down no matter what!! Of course I had my flaws but I always stood by him!! Even when he was locked up for a year and a half! My husband had a bag of viagra in his truck...107 pills. Now there are 96. He didn't use them at home with his wife. He is now on the journey...alone. He is a repeat offender.

This is so true. I've gotten strong enough to separate myself, detach mentally and emotionally from him, since he refuses to nit only be part of the family (is only a good dad when he and I are on bad terms due to his infidelity, lies, denial, blaming me etc), but seek help. I've had to push him every step to even just search for a therapist and reach out to them and he thinks because he reached out, thay means he's doing therapy. They haven't even had a meeting (and won't) because he doesn't think what he does is wrong, hurtful, and lies to me. No way he'd open up to a therapist. It'll cost time (which he needs for the computer) and money. As long as we're in his life and I keep giving him chance after chance, he thinks KS everything IA fine and he can spiral back into his fantasy world of pixels. He's treating me as if I did wrong, mirroring my cut off from him, too, which is fine, because I will not give myself to him anymore until he at least truly apologizes, asks for forgiveness and starts making attempts at improving. I will not accept his boundary breaking, everything thay comes with it after, and him putting on a show for a few weeks any longer. Sadly, I think even us out of his life won't be his rock bottom, he'll just blame me, as he always does. What more can a woman do?

Coach is telling the truth. I called him back after 5 months. It went great then fizzled out. I went back quiet. No thanks. We didn't end it, they did. I know it's not easy but I must do this. I am now 6 weeks in or more. I stop counting.

I need to say after 6 months no contact I really feel like right now the peace of no anxiety far outweighs missing the relationship. I gave her the breakup her actions asked for. PS I did respond to 1 hope ur well email with a hope ur well too and left it alone. PPS Another coach recently said, "Don't trip over what's already behind you." PPPS I like Coach Lee's compassion best.

Yes, it's been exactly 3 months of no contact and I feel so much better. At this point I don't want him back but I think I just want him to reach out for an ego boost. I was the one who ended the relationship because he grew so cold. It makes me sad to think 8 months of me trying to make it work meant nothing. If he never reaches out I will never talk to him again in life and I have already accepted that fact.

Mine reached out after 6 months. He reached out after the first month with a hand written letter but it felt more like a reinforced decision so I did not respond, and I was still too hurt to respond. I still love him but I can't and don't want to engage that relationship again...for a 3rd time, just for him to break up again. For those of you going through this, I urge you to allow them to go through the motions just as you did. Coach Lee is 100% correct, they have to go through it by themselves!

It’s been a year. Within the first 3 months. She met someone and then Jan - 5 months later she started dating this person seriously. I tried no contact but she continued to contact me and I did not ignore her or beg. She then of course went into no contact with me. Later loved and liked my Facebook story 3 months later. Since then, it’s been a brief Facebook message. I still believe in your advice. I believe one day after this relationship she is in, one in which he cheated on her 2 months later, she will realized it was a mistake. I follow your principals and believe.

Since splitting from my wife I've got myself fit physically (where I'm not being fed crap foodwise or being told "I'm wasting my time" by cycling during the evenings), I have bought her half of the equity out of what was our house and now my house belongs to me - the 10 year mortgage I took out in 2020 was paid in 31 months!!!! and I now fluently speak ANOTHER foreign language albeit a bit clunkily (but I can more than get by and be understood for sure). I'm not putting up with a smoker who puts my things where I can't find them where I was told constantly that every problem was always of my making. I AM still on my own but I was on my own for a long time anyway - but I am strong. I am fit financially and physically and am about to start a different language class to do something else which interests me - what do I need her for again?
