That is a Good Looking Pistol, but since it has the Same Ballistic Performance as my PPQ, I really can't justify buying one. I have been a Loyal Fan and Customer of Umarex for many years, but I just don't know Why they have Not come out with some High Power Magazines for their Mag Fed T4E Pistols....more Choices for the Consumer. Great video as always. In 2024 you should upgrade the microphones for the range part of your videos. I think it would really help w/ getting a feel for how hard the shots are. Like I said though your vids are awesome already so having the sound leveled up would really increase the quality to a whole other level. Happy holidays!

If I can sell my Byrna SD and accessories, I think the PDP is ideal for my needs. The Byrna is just a tad to bulky for concealed carry. And adding an optic to the Byrna is more hassle than it's worth.
Can't waitto see what you find at ShotShow this year. Three things I want to see there.... 1. A launcher that has the power out of the box of the Grimberg Gavle, the upgradability of the Umarex, the trigger system of the Byrna, and is small enough to comfortably conceal-carry. 2. A smaller home version of the bazooka we saw last year so we can see an intruder soil themselves when they come around the corner and see it pointed at them. 3. A content creator as giddy as a child in a toy store 😂.
Hey brother. Really cool looking launcher. I love my PPQ, especially after the springs I purchased from you for the mags. My experience with my HDP50 from your website was like being that kid on Christmas morning after dad pulled out the Red Ryder BB gun. Warm and fuzzy. My wife may make me wait for another launcher. She bought me a FSC Compact for an early Christmas present. O rings to replace the original on the way from Grimburg less lethal. I was wondering what you think of these and any ideas about them. Hey brother, I speak to Grimburg at least once a week and I have yet to receive a launcher. I did find out that they are actually positioned directly next to byrna again at shot show this year, so I will be making a beeline to their booth to find out why we don’t have one for the channel yet :)
Cardboard is not garbage. Cardboard, aka. Corrugated Fiberboard, usually consisting of a truss sandwiched between 2 layers of fiberboard, is a well-known and versatile material. Some advantages include recyclability, sustainability, and a comparatively low cost with a high-strength to weight ratio. One advantage of using cardboard (instead of hardened polymers) is better impact cushioning, because more rigid materials may transfer more of the impact. Reduce, reuse, recycle.
ROFL, I think you misunderstand my point. My point was, the launcher should be an experience in that the case should be reusable. And I think that kind of goes to your point.

Good day Jon. Perhaps it's because your PPQ is Worn somewhat but it appears this PDP has a somewhat different finish. It looks very nice like the firearm. Having it in your hand do you see a difference in the black finish compared to the other 43 caliber pistols? I always enjoy your informative videos. I really really want Umarex to design magazines for their .43 t4e launchers that ditches the C02 cartridges and uses a permanent PCP tank instead. 12g C02 cartridges hold about 800psi.....it shouldn't be to hard to make a fixed pcp tank in the mag that could hold up to 1000 psi
That would be a cool design but the. You would have the issue of constant pressure on seals and orings. However, if they did that, you could potentially get much higher joule ratings.
Another thing I would love to see Umarex develop is models functionally the same as these t4e's but that fire .25 pellets/slugs. That would be a much more fun plinker than the .177's they currently offer@@AlternateArmsSD
Watch all you videos and really enjoy them and learn alot. The one major thing I wish you would do is add the retail price of the launchers you test. I am in the Phillipines so I am not able to just go out to shops and find out prices. Knowing an approximte price on these products would be a tremendiss help. I have a limited budget I live on SS. and I only get 1400 dollars amonth. So by the time it comes to the Phillippines with shipping and Customs fees a 200 dollar piece is alot closer to 350 to 400 dollars with co2 cartridge and some amo. I just want the launcher that will hurt an intruder and make him leave me home. Don't want any gun fight. The Pd 50 seems like a good choice, I may have the spelling wrong. I've had the 1st generation ppq before and loved it but lost it, in the market for a new launcher and I'm stuck between the Glock 17 (least desired option simply because the price difference is outrageous to me), the Gen 2 PPQ, VP9, and now this PDP. I know I want something that fits polymer holsters and can take accessories as a 1-1 match, really eyeing this PDP now but it's not available in the US as of now.

Hey Jon, I am curious what your thoughts are on this launcher compared to the PPQ and VP9 for a carry role and/or training tool. It seems that the VP9 is a bit down on power compared to the Walthers based off of some of the videos I have watched. (But I love the paddle magazine release) Overall, I just want to know what you think will be the most concealable and effective. Thanks

Well, they are all VERY close to the same power (and you should upgrade the magazine spring the second you get it) but the PDP offers the ability to add an optical site (or other optics) to the top of the launcher. Im also a fan of the paddle release for the magazine on the VP9.. Once you mod that spring, You will feel the difference immediately. Honestly, they are all so close in performance that it really boils down to personal preference.
Thanks for the info! It is good to know they are all close to the same power. I shoot firearms competitively, and I have shot pistol with and without optics. Overall, I prefer iron sites for most scenarios. (Especially because they add weight and size) Is there a physical size difference between the three? It seems in this video that the PPQ is about the same size as the PDP compact, and perhaps the VP9 is a little bigger? (I am thinking about concealability) Also, I see some sites are still selling the “PPQ” and the “PPQ M2” as well. Is there any difference between the two? Thanks again Jon.
There’s a plastic detent in the front of the magazine that can wear out and needs to be replaced from time to time. There is a magazine rebuild kit but I’m out of them until January. Alternatively, I do have new magazines (both standard and quick pierce) and they all ship premodded. If you need one, shoot me an emails at jonreynoldscts@gmail.com
see, I don't really care about the optics so much. I really want night sights. I have a PPQ, * and thought about getting another). and have it ready with regular quick piercing mag and pepper balls. but wish I had night sights. although I have also thought about asking you about the upgraded mags. I also have a M&P with QP mags for indoor use ( NO PEPPERBALLS). along with my Byrnas'.

So mine didn't come with a restrictor in the CO2 compartment. It was already 11 jewel so I just took out the plug inside of the gun. Where do I go about getting a restrictor to screw in to the CO2 compartment?
Hey John, I got the springs for the PPQ mag. Thank you very much. Also, I have a question. I did. The mod on the HDR50 revolver. All I did was take out the restrictor put it back together but now when I charge it and pull the trigger it fires full auto. Only one bullet comes out but it fires rapidly out of the revolver. What did I do wrong or how do I fix this? This is really 12 g02. The only thing changed was pulling out the restrictor inside of the valve. It was already a 11:00 jewel thistle start with resale. Hey Brother! On the HDR 50, we’re going to need the CO2 restrictor that goes up in the CO2 chamber. Alternatively, you can also just change the entire valve to the new reinforced valve.

Not yet brother, I’ve been told May. I’m not sure what in the world is holding it up, but I can tell you that there have been stock issues with them on multiple launchers.
