The LG CX is a high-end 2020 OLED TV from LG. It is the successor to the LG C9 from 2019, and is very similar with some new improvements.
Full review:
www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/lg/...

The LG CX is an excellent overall TV. Like other OLEDs before it, it produces perfect blacks for immersive movie experiences and contrast that pops. It has great viewing angles, near-instantaneous response times, and fantastic reflection handling, so it’ll be great in almost any room. Unfortunately, like other OLEDs, it has a risk of permanent burn-in, but this shouldn't be an issue with varied content.
Model tested: 55” (OLED55CXPUA)
Should also be valid for the 48” (OLED48CXPUA), 65” (OLED65CXPUA), 77” (OLED77CXPUA)

At 07:13 there is an error with the HDR Peak Brightness box. so whats the difference between "HDR Real Scene Peak Brightness" and "HDR Peak 2% Window"? I never understood this....is the Real Scene what you actually see on the screen? If thats the case is the Window brightness meaningless? I see RU-vidrs only acknowledge Real Scene brightness like the Window measurements dont matter....
@huahero5845
@huahero5845 4 года назад
@@Ford-wt8rn There're explanations in Rtings website "www.rtings.com/tv/tests/picture-quality/peak-brightness#comparison_5670". In short, 2% windows means 2% area white and other area is black. Real scence means 2% white, but others are real thing content, rather than whole black. Actually you can download HDR Real scene test video in the website above.

I've just bought a Samsung TV (90T) after having the LG CX , this is brighter in my living room, where the LG looked dim, colors were a little more accurate in general with the LG and shadow resolution information was better but on sunny day the LG Oled was just too dull/dark. Yes I had the LG brightness cranked up. If I were to pick a TV for a room I could make completely dark, I would choose the LG, no question. So when a retailer asks where are you going to place a TV and how far away you are going to view it, PAY ATTENTION.

You can always run 4k panel pretty near native as 1080p or just fine as 1440p. Also you can run 4k/120 pretty good, at least when dropping detail. But you're right, you'll always get less input lag and lower minimums when displaying lower resolution. Anyway the letdown here is that 120hz is getting slow in 2020. 1080p ips panels are already 240hz with tn TN like response times or even faster and supposedly there is coming first 1440p ips 240hz monitor later this year. But i mean they still don't have the picture quality anywhere near of an oled. Or the response times. Personally i am also sitting with my 165hz ips because i am afraid using my oled 24/7 for pc due all those burn in horror stories. Otherwise oled would win hands down for me.

Keeping my b6 until something worthy comes along. Every year ABL gets more and more aggressive in the sets actually limiting peak brightness in HDR. I remember watching hdr on the c8 a few years ago and my b6 got way brighter in scenes with light.
