Completely agree, have the 77’ G4 for several weeks and Gaming and movies are a blast. Didn’t much care for the filmmaker mode tbh. Image is just amazing and my new hobby is just watch youtube 8k demo video’s.
Spawnpoiint is the goat ,he shows even the smallest of details of the new tvs , iv got the lg c2 but will be getting the G4 in November when it's like 40% off
Will be getting the G4 65 inch myself, I have the C7 aswel from 2017 and it has burn it it only happened the last year or so , the screen looks streaky but only in bright scenes , it wouldn't put me off an OLED they have improved a lot since then
Hey Spawnpoiint, I absolutely love your videos. The voiceover is so upbeat, love it. Just had my 77" G4 delivered today. It replaces my 77" G3.....can't wait to get it on the wall. I also sit 10ft from screen to nose. Thank you, sir 🤗
@@royvan6224 Thank you for kindness words. I saved for approximately 4 to 5 years to afford the G3 and had a bit left over. So I sold my G3 for a brilliant price and put the difference to the G4 👍
@@jordanstinson2505 Hi, I don't know yet. I'm awaiting my son's availability to help me swap out my G3. What I will say is this. Going from my 77" G2 to same size G3 was incredible. Dare I say even smoother motion and a lot brighter. I'll guarantee you'll notice the difference because the G4 is brighter again. I'm hoping the new Alpha 11 processor will give me finer detail on lower quality programmes, because I do watch a lot of them. Hope this helps 🤗
I was really waiting to see this video. Ill buy this tv fs next year because im sure this tv is just perfect and I dont think, at the price this tv will be at when I buy it, another tv can compare to this.
fantastic tv. I have 77 G3 and i love it. G4 is a bit brighter but i curious about for panel temperature when you set max brightness. I dont use my G3 long time on max brightness but when i watched any hdr videos this panel getting hotter. G4 is super bright but panel temperature important for long time usage. And can this brightness booster increase burn in risk?
Nice oled! 🤩 Does the game optimizer have an option 4 an onscreen aiming crosshair for fps games that you can change the color of like the Sony a95l does?
Nice OLED. I got my 65' G2 1.5 years ago, thanks to also your review, and I've been very happy with it. I don´t have the money and probably can't justify to my girlfriend upgrading to the G4. I'll probably upgrade when we reach G7, but I still watch these videos just to see what's up. I think your video reviews are really daily user-oriented, which I think is a very good thing. Keep it up!
WRT the soundbar and subwoofer. Are there rear speakers available as well? Do they have upward firing speakers for Dolby Atmos? Good review. About to move house so in the market for a new telly 😁
Nice OLED! I was curious about the WiFi speed. I believe they are using WiFi 6 with this model. Is the Ethernet port at least 1GIG or faster? I plan on streaming everything to it - option would be to use an external box that does have the required speed. My router is downstairs and this TV would be upstairs. I seen the C3 77 and 83 side by side and the 83 really didn’t seem that much larger to justify the extra cost.
Hey Spawnpoint, just an idea, in benefit for us with older tvs, you mentioned you have a C9, there is some of us with older TVs like c9s or CXs that would love a comparison with something like a G4, to see how far the technology has come and sell us on how big the jump is, would you think it would be a good idea to do that comparison with your C9?
Hi Spawn, figured this was the easiest way to contact you so I hope you see this. Was wondering if there's any chance you could do a walkthrough video for installing a 77-inch TV? I'm currently considering the Samsung S90C in this size - I won't be wall-mounting but the thought of the set-up still fills me with dread (I remember setting up my 65" C1 with the missus was far from easy!). I'd certainly appreciate some tips and I'm sure others would also find the video useful. Just a suggestion - I know you're a busy man. Have a great day mate 🙂
I was curious about this as well. I ended up getting the a95L since the g4 wasn’t available at the time. Upgraded from a c1, & Really happy with the brightness and color.
Nice oled! I'm waiting for black Friday, and then I will order a 83" G4. Get rid of my old Samsung 65" JS9005, it was awesome when I bought it but now have maaaaany years behind it 🤓
@SpawnPoiint yes! I'm looking forward to it. Hopefully the 83" is worth the price difference 🤷♂️ Just a quick question if I may (since i dont have the tv or led lights in front of me)! The hue lights you have, do you think they would fit on the chromed part of the back on the TV while the included wall mount is used? Or are they to "thick" or would be to close to the wall?🫡
I've bought the 55'', it arrives tomorrow. Never been so excited, I've been gaming on a Samsung Odyssey G9 (49'' monitor), but I've never experience an OLED screen, I'm just hoping it's the perfect TV for my PC.
Is it worth selling my c2 65 inch and buy og g4 77 inch/83inch on black friday? Or keep the c2 some few years more, when the technology is better. Or at the difference in picture Quality from c2 to g4 that HUGE
Hi there mate... Just got the lg g3 oled... Can you please suggest the best picture settings for watching hdr content... I currently have it on vivid mode.. Coz colours in all the other picture modes look washed out..A reply would be appreciated.. Cheers..
I know this can sound as a stupid question but i have an old generation OLED tv from LG the 55B6V from 2017 Its got dolby vision and HDR looks great, is the picture quality or HDr content be very different? Because everything already looks great and don´t know if i can justify getting these new models.
The question I want answered is how if the upscaling from SD content compared to Sony. Many of us watch cable TV which limits the image to 720. I wonder how well the new processor handles the upscaling.
Fantastic Review! You cover everything without rambling (like I do, lol). I bought the tv on the assumption the first major price cut will happen at memorial day or July 4th. But generally speaking over $4k for any tv is ridiculous. I do have a hefty credit that made buying this more "acceptable."
I'm still on the C1, use it for films and the PS5, does more than enough for me :) Not a clue why i'm watching as I'm not going to be buying anytime soon 😂. Great vid as always :)
@@beammeupscottsp7952 am I really going to notice a massive difference though to warrant spending the money? If they’re side by side, yeah probably, but in general, I don’t think so.
Only problem I have with my lg b9 is slight flickering in dark games probably worsened by vrr(gsync)? Mainly I noticed it in alanwake 2. Also panel uninformity in dark scenes has vertical banding but not that bad. Wonder if g4 has improved it. Nobody in youtube really tests these challengin scenarios.
Are people watching oleds outside, how bright do you need a tv. I got an oled lg A2 for like 500 bucks and I think they stopped making them, but that thing is amazing and can watch it in any lighting.
In your next video when you compare the G3 and the G4, can you please show some gameplay of the last of us on these TVs please also can you show us the movie LIFE OF PI it has the most insane colours when it comes to movies I think it will be great for the review
