Man, I still have the email I sent you back in late 2012 where I asked you when you were gonna play The Birth, and you said you would eventually, and you finally did! You rock, man! Thanks for finally playing the one episode of Duke 3D that I hadn't seen yet.

Clint, you have a *really* good Duke voice, to the point where half the time I actually thought I was hearing his in-game lines until he responded directly to you or I realized that the game audio was turned down much lower than your mic. If they ever needed a new voice actor for Duke, I imagine you'd be on the list.

A word of warning LGR. Build engine doors can actually squish you if you open them and they swing open right into you. O_O It happened to me when I was playing Blood 1 with my step-dad and I opened a refrigerator door. It was hilarious. XD

Not sure why it took me so long to find your channel but now i'm hooked. I usually don't like watching people play games but i've watched every min of this and enjoyed it.

1:24:48 "pick up bart" reference to the classic Simpsons episode where Homer forgets to pick up Bart after soccer practice. Millhouse is shown writing this backwards on a wall when the camera pans to a mirror. It too is a reference to other pop culture media (but one I am not familiar with).

37:12 Its amazing that last month a 2001 build of DNF was leaked and people can finally play these levels in their actual form. I'd love to see you play that version of the game!

It's quite confusing that you do the Duke-voice and then Duke in-game says something and it's overlapping. You can't really tell which one is which at times. It's so close that the only thing that is different is that the in-game voice has lower sound quality (obvious, really).

This game came out the year I was born, you know, the good ole days. In my teenage years I got the N64 version and loved it and was dedicated to find everything in this game secrets and all. Good nostalgia for me here even if the game was 16 years old at the time

Pick up bart is a refrence to the Simpsons Episode where Homer Forgets to pick up bart from Soccer Practice and he starts trying to remember what he forgot and everything around him starts saying Pick Up Bart.

I played the Build Engine games religiously back in the days, sometimes I was really into Duke Nukem 3D, then Blood, later Shadow Warrior. I set up a challenge for myself that I only save at the beginning of the level (so I don't lose weapons and items I collected on previous levels) and I can't save during the level. I even played Shadow Warrior on every difficulty and it was so awesome! I tried to use sword only and switch to other weapons when a Coulie (the exploding guy) or some more serious enemy came out like those invisible monsters that shoot exploding stuff.

Dude, did you actually edit out the stuff getting back to where you were when you died around 00:22:00? If so, that's awesome and I am impressed at your dedication to edit over two hours of footage.

I never could get the Atomic Edition of Duke3d to work on my old Packerd Bell when I was a lad, so watching this was pretty awesome.

I have SUCH a strong urge to play this game after watching Clint play all 4 episodes. For a while ca. 2010 or 2011 I would regularly play eDuke against a good friend of mine. Wish there was a more active DM community still playing Duke.

Oh man "Babe Land" was partially used for the N64 Multiplayer Level "Piracy" which I remember playing for hours with my brothers as one of the better multi-levels. It gets a bad wrap for being censored but even with stuff cut it's still Duke Quality. Also the first game I heard the F-bomb on was Perfect Dark on the N64.

Oh man, how could you forget the lazer-bomb trap in E4M1? It's literally the only one of its kind in the entire game! I remember first playing The Birth through Nuclear Winter, which was a pain in the ass because of all the Santa Claws-es in the mess hall and in the big computer room, but yeah, the lazer-bomb was one heck of a thing. Also, great voice impression!

That was awesome! Would have loved to have been there live Its the only chapter I haven't played, have no excuse really as I have Steams bundle... Thanks for suffering those latter levels so I didn't have to ;)

For me the first game where the f bomb was dropped and said consistently was Interplay’s 1998 sequel to one of the greatest RPGs ever made: Fallout 2. Amongst other mature content not suitable for children; graphic violence amongst children, nudity, strong sexual content including contracting a venereal disease, and cursing up the wazoo. All before Rockstar delved into that rabbit hole 3 years prior to this with GTA III and onwards.

Pretty cool your uncle introduced you to Duke Nukem. My uncle introduced me to a lot of stuff, especially Doom.

Just like LGR, I got this episode much later, after having played the original three episodes for many years (since the 7th grade, actually). And maybe that's why this episode was never as close to my heart as the original three (especially LA Meltdown, which was the shareware version I played for a while).

For those unaware, 11:10 was a Get Smart reference. So good.
