I'm about to watch this video, but my ranking is- 5: Episode 4, Faith 4: Episode 1, Roads 3: Episode 5, Wolves 2: Episode 3, Wastelands 1: Episode 2, Rules I ADORE ALL THE EPISODES WITH MY ENTIRE HEART; they each have something to love about them and I don't think there is a singular bad episode. I just feel such a great comfort while playing Episode 2 and the settings/music/dialogue/events are all moving! Can't wait to see your thoughts!

WASTELANDS BEST EPISODE UWU 11/10 I LOVE YOU KOOKOO

Episode 4 was my least favourite episode because it just seemed unnecessary and forced for the brothers to have another conflict. I'm mostly talking about the cult part. It didn't feel realistic to me. And the "villain" was a villain just for the sake of it and also boring. That arc was just way too short (to care about) and at the same time too dragged out, if that makes sense. My fave episode was episode 3 because you get to meet all these diverse characters and stories and you just feel free and young again and mostly safe (eventhough deep down we know it won't stay like that for long) .You're literally in the middle of their story/journey so since we've already been through so many hardships and know there's more to come our way this episode let you breathe and recharge for a minute. Also it's the first time you start to think about your relationship with Daniel and you look deeper into it. The rest of the episodes are somewhere in between in the neutral zone :D except for the endings of course. They deserve its own rating :p Thanks for reading my opinion.

Very late to the party, absolutely obsessed. and very disappointed in myself for not giving this game a chance earlier when I seen it being advertised. I’ve never felt so emotionally invested in a game, and I never cry from games, but this made me blubber like a baby 🤧🥴

I personally LOVE the episode "Faith",,, at first I was quite angry, and it almost felt like all the work I'd done to get away from the law was for nothing, but as I continued playing I realized I gained a special fondness. I enjoy that the beginning in the hospital was quite long and almost boring, because it truly captures the fact that Sean hated it there and was worried and clueless. I felt that cluelessness too, and I really like that the disappearance of Daniel made sense. I loved the dream with his dad, and I loved the appearance of his mother. It was truly a heartbreaking ending scene and I was so worried for Sean. perhaps it's just because I'm in love with Sean and his character, but I liked that the episode focused on him and gave him a chance to be seen as himself whilst caring and searching for his brother. Also I think the holy Daniel part was soooo funny

I loved this video. So good, my list from favourite to least favourite is 3, 5, 2, 4 and 1.

My favorite is episode 4 because Sean just wants to find his brother cause he really does care. He was scared because he didn't know where he was until the message from Jacob/Jake. It truly tells Sean that he is still alive and out to find Daniel. The sad part of the episode is the racist in the desert that guy really hurt Sean's feelings and made him cry. Also reunion with their mother is a plus cause Karen does care about her kids. There is a lot more to say but I don't feel like typing it all.

They say 7 endings because out of the 4 main endings, 3 of them changes depending on the people you connect with. For instance, if you never called lyla after the incident, she wouldn't have showed up in the redemption ending. Or if you never had a connection with either cassidy or finn, Sean would be alone in mexico from the parting ways ending, in the photo.

The lone wolf ending made me cry more than anything.

4 was my personal favourite tbh, there was just so much to do and i loved slowly getting to know more about karen. don't think there were really any bad episodes tho i thoroughly enjoyed every single one of them!

Episodes 2 and 5 were the most emotional for me, the way they conmect with their family was pure gold on this game

Really great video and analysis! For me it's hard to pick a clear path from least-most favorite. 1, 3, and 5 would be in the top ranking though. And you brought up a lot of stuff I hadn't thought about! I also appreciate you breaking down Daniel's behavior in Episode 3: it's very realistic, and it's a bit saddening how quickly some players turn against him for acting out due to trauma.

Another awesome video! I disagree on several points, particularly regarding episode 1, but you presented your reasoning very well and I can understand where you're coming from. My personal ranking 5>2>1>3>4. I love them all, though.

I've been rewatching GeekRemix's LiS2 Episodes for few days and now You're uploading a video about the episodes! :D For me the order is (from the best) 3 > 1 > 5 > 2 > 4. The 4th episode wasn't bad, all of the episodes were really great and there was a lot of effort put in, but the episode was rather dull, the only thing that made it better was Karen's introduction. The 3rd episode was the best of all, a fresh breath of freedom and carelessness and adventurous characters which I wish to meet one day. Ep3 felt so free, it made me want to travel and just focus on the present

I think another possible reason why there are no licensed music in ep 5 (besides the budget and running on a tight schedule) is that the Let's Players on RU-vid would have to turn it off in order to avoid copyright. But doing so would butcher the gaming experience because music enhances particular scenes. Awkward silences wouldn’t cut it at this point. Since this is the finale, the developers wouldn’t want any players to sacrifice any features so they went off and make their own track.

For me, the Episode 2 the best. I like feeling secured by families and friends. Here is my favourite episode list (best to worst) : Ep 1 Ep 4 Ep 5 Ep 3 (i just dont like weeds and drugs and hippies. I prefer cultured, quiet and lawful characters like Jacob who doesnt smoke in this episode at all. When I was playing i was wondering if there was possible romance between Jacob and Sean and i felt sad there isnt any:( )

I think Faith is sooo underrated! Honestly my ranking is 4>2>1>5>3. I really don't get the hype around Wastelands.

I'd say that the best to worst ranking of episodes is 3 > 4 > 5 > 1 > 2 Episode 3 was by far the best episode. It gave us some chances to bond more with Sean as an individual away from Daniel, and characters like Cassidy and Finn are amazing additions. The ending is also the most shocking and powerful of all episodes. Episode 4, much like Episode 3, gave us more Sean focus, and introduced Karen, who acts as an amazing and flawed third main character. The religious cult kind of bogs it down, but feels secondary to the events like breaking from the hospital and dealing with the racists on the road. Episode 5 is the finale and has some beautiful moments, like the camp in Arizona and the lantern scene with Karen, but the moments after leaving Karen felt filler until the final determining decision. Episode 1 was the introduction, and like you said the episode that builds the baseline for the story, but Esteban felt wasted, Lyla felt wasted, and Brody was the only real standout for me in this episode. Episode 2, while not bad, was slow at first and felt even slower with your long stay at the grandparents house. I also never played Captain Spirit so I ultimately just felt cautious and annoyed by Chris and his dad. And Mushroom deserved better! Great analysis overall ❤️

4 was my favorite with 3 as a close second, then 5, 1, and 2 respectively. I really like Sean's haircut though; definitely a pleasant surprise given how much I dislike their hair.

I just recently came into getting into life is strange series and my first one was LIS2, and I must say I was completely captivated by its storytelling, character evolution, and the perspective of a person of color living in America. I love Sean and Daniel’s relationship, The soundtrack is soo nostalgic and I can’t stop thinking about it, I’m currently playing LIS1 now and all I can think of is LIS2. Thank you for this video it really gave me a smile filled with nostalgia.

Am I the only one who thought that it would have been a cool detail if every episode Daniels voice got slightly deeper due to the constant time skips.

Unlike LIS and BTS......LIS 2 I cannot rank the episodes. The story is the sum of its parts, to a point where its episodic release hurt it. I cannot rank the Tell Me Why episodes as well. But I think "Dark Room" is the best episodic adventure episode ever.

I can not rate the episodes because I love the entire game, however I do like episode 4 simply because Sean and Daniel are reunited and that's how the whole game should of ended, in my opinion. Sean deserved none of the beatings he received, not going to jail for 15 years and the Mexico endings are all bad because we end up with changed brothers. Esteban's senseless death which no one other than his two sons paid for. The boys being hunted like criminals or should I say cop killers. No, there was no justice in this game. In all honesty, the blood brothers ending is a totally logical end to all that Sean and his brother was put through for no reason, so why the F*** not, their Dad was killed for no reason, they were pursued as cop killers, they were beaten for no reason, so they did what they had to do to survive, for that reason, They did what they had to and I say good for them. Sometimes this world just Shits on you and they just want you to take it. Well F*** that idea!!!!!!!!!!

The only thing I would do to the list is swap episode 3 with episode 4

My episode rankings from worst to best is Episode 3: This is the only episode in the life is strange franchise that I dislike, I loved daniel in episodes 1, 2, and 5 but in this episode he was an annoying asshole brat (i dont even blame him tbh, his surroundings and trauma are not very helpful). This episode focused on the side characters rather than daniel and sean which i disliked since i loved their dynamic. I didnt care much for the side characters because of a problem with the game itself, those characters would be lost in the next episode and it didnt give me a reason to get attached to them and even in the ep 5 endings cassidy and finn only appear in a picture even Jacob was always in the background that he didnt even make me feel like he was the same person in ep 4 (even though i liked him in ep 4). Another thing was how easy the choices were and as a result how unbalanced the final decisions are, a very small percentage of people would pick anything other than the "use power" option and not alot of people were in on the heist and since thats the only way to romance finn, the romancing options were VERY unbalanced and you would pretty much have to replay the game if you want to romance finn. The episode isnt completely terrible though, the atmosphere, the premise, the music, the graphics, and the pacing were AMAZING but its still my least favorite. Now that my rant is over Episode 4: I LOVED pretty much everything in this episode but one thing kind of ruined it for me, lisbeth, she was not an interesting character and in turn made the cult/church storyline very meh to me. Episode 2: I loved this episode so god damn much even with its flaws of killing mushroom and the captain spirit storyline being unsolved. The atmosphere, the grandparents, the mystery behind Karen, The choices, having chris back, graphics, music, and endings were perfect. Episode 5: im getting tired from writing the ep3 rant so AMAZING AND ALMOST PERFECT, only flaws are lack of licensed music and non returning side characters. (Lyla and drifters) Episode 1: WAS ONE OF THE BEST LIS EPISODES, THIS WAS AMAZING, THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SEAN AND DANIEL, BRODY!!!, AND MUSHROOM'S INTRODUCTION. GREAT INTRODUCTION TO THE STORY!

the scene with danny using his powers after the jailbreak at the border looked like a scene from Akria, tetsuo using his powers in hospital and trying to get the tokyo Olympic stadium. Killing all those soldiers so easily in Akira.

Episode 1 was good, episode 3 was great, and... it's hard to decide which of episodes 2, 4, and 5 was the most terrible and nonsensical. French accents: "Hey, let's make a game about kids who have run away from home!" "Great idea, what should we put in it?" "Oh, I know, you live in a house! And the rules are strict! And the next door kid needs CPS! It'll be great!" "Yeah, totally what runaways deal with every day. Have a croissant!"

my list from worst to best goes 4,2,1,5,3. Episode 4 is the worst on my list simply because I really really disliked Daniel in this part. With him not listening to sean and going with Finn in the previous episode and being the main reason Daniel lost his eye already had me upset with him but to then leave his unconscious and injured older brother in that wreck and go to a church in a completely different place showing everyone there his ability and them worshipping him was just ugh to me. Seeing Sean get the shit kicked out of him right after he just got out of the hospital with one eye over and over again, Daniel almost killing him due to his "brainwashing" and then Karen! oh god I really fucking hated that episode... Episode 2 is after that cause honestly I don't really remember much that happened in that one and I didnt like the way they handled Chris's story, I really thought he would play a bigger role but i really did love the setting and atmosphere before shit hit the fan. Episode 1 is next and honestly this spot was originally for 5 but after rethinking it I did like more of what happened in that episode but this one to me was not bad at all. I feel like it was a nice introduction to the game. I loved almost every character in it, Esteban (R.I.P) 😭 Lyla 😍, Brody 😍. seeing Sean be an older brother and stick up for Daniel was nice to see, loved the woodland sequence, seeing arcadia bay again was really nice (bay>bae btw 😏) . it literally started with a bang and pretty much told us what type of story they wanted to tell right from the start, they had a plan and stuck with it unlike the previous game that felt like a mix of things. Episode 5 got second place cause its what we all were waiting for. to see how our choices actually affected the different endings was nice. seeing David was quite the surprise although pretty much making the save Chloe ending canon it was still cool to see him. I really liked everyone at the hippy camp too and it was really fun interacting with them before tbings got real. Escaping the Border patrol was just badass in every way and although the endings werent the best for the wolf brothers its was really cool seeing everything we taught daniel really mean something. and finally Episode 3 I dont think I need to talk about why i really like this episode but i will anyways. we got to see Sean interacting with people his age, seeing Daniel's power growing was... amazing, trying to grow even closer to Daniel was really nice i love seeing them be brothers, cassidy is really cool, Finn was cool until the end. working at a weed from was a big surprise but a welcomed one and really an even bigger surprise I actually quite enjoyed the Drug boss. His talks with Sean about really showed me more about him. he doesn't like the fact a young kid like Daniel was involved with the business and was sorta disappointed in Sean from bringing him into it. he never needed to but he gives them money for the work the do allowing cassidy, fin & friends to live happily on their own with freedom as long as they follow his rules at work. He lowkey cares about them but due to him needing money for his family and working for someone even more strict and brutal than him he has to punish them if they were to try anything stupid like what Finn does! Lastly that Ending!! ooou i couldn't wait for another episode after that. then that episode had to be Faith 😧

It’s very sad that many fans think that 2 is horrible.

I actually think mushrooms death was one of the very strongest elements of episode 2. This is mainly due to going against the grain of you can't kill off an animal least of not a puppy for a lack of way of putting it, but more importantly it introduces the harsh reality of life isn't fair in the perspective of nature. Sean and Daniel already dodge a bullet with bears in episode 1, with all the indicators and implications they were very much near these large predatory animals. Now after getting cozy in the house for months as they leave life reminds them of it's cruelty. We can look at this and know that sean should know from what he knew of the wild animals in the area from episode 1 that letting mushroom free to roam without keeping an eye on her could result in her falling prey. Ultimately she does and we are given the choice for daniel, to kill the animal or for sean to scare it away, the cat is only doing what it does, it's winter it's likely looking for food where it is in shorter supply for and we cannot blame it for getting it where it can. Ultimately this is a lesson for daniel in pure raw morality. You can allow him to give into anger and kill the big cat for taking mushrooms life which is not morally justified, it has ultimately done nothing wrong, or scare it away and present an opportunity of learning for daniel that shouldn't exist or is fair but ultimately the silver linning of a bad situation.

Here are some alternate storylines I would have liked to see in episodes 1 and 5. Episode 1 - Sean gets to go to the party with Layla before Estaban dies, and her character is developed more. I looked forward to the party and felt a missed opportunity that it never happened. Episode 5 - When Daniel broke through the border wall the first time, they could have simply walked through instead of returning to the truck. In fact, they could have walked through and Daniel could have levitated the truck to the Mexico side. I would have liked to see an outcome where they get into Mexico and avoid the racists, the cops and all the other bs, and more of the episode focuses on their journey in Mexico to reach Puerto Lobos. Surely, there would be some beautiful cinematography and harrowing adventures in a Mexico-based journey. Also, an ending where they just make it to PL this way and have a normal, happy life. I really wanted a truly happy ending all things considered, and I felt that none of the actual endings gave a real sense of closure.

I'd put episode 1 a bit higher, it had a more diverse set of choices results and got me engaged with the game compared to others. I liked episode 2 also especially with the buildup from Captain Spirit and Seans Grandparents.

My least favourite episode is episode 3. The best one i think is episode 1, intense, tough, dramatic, very adventurous and atmospheric. Episode 5, the final sequence is great, apart from that it's like an epilogue and i didn't like they put much politics into it. So from best to worst it goes like: 1. Episode 1 2. Episode 4 3. Episode 5 4. Episode 2 5. Episode 3

Yep after playing the 1st and 2nd episode i was wondering if I should continue this playthrough and was starting to regret getting this game. It was episode 3 which gave me hope and rejuvenated my interest in this game. Good job dude.

Mushroom was supposed to follow you though the whole game but the game makers couldn't get it to work right so they 'had' to kill him off in the second episode

*SPOILERS OBVIOUSLY* I will never understand why people keep making excuses for Finn. I wouldn't want someone like him anywhere near me or my brother. Other than that. For me the best (and the only thing that saved the game for me) is the last episode. Those endings... from bittersweet to soul crushing. However, a nitpick here is that I feel like the writers cheated on the high moraility path in regards to Daniel's behavior to accomodate for their intentions. If you choose to surrender, Daniel says "Here? But I could..." implying that he is willing to use his power to get through. But if you actually choose to go through he's all "I'm not hurting anyone else!" *proceeds to bail out*. I don't like such inconsistencies because it reveals the artifice. This doesn't happen in the low morality route. If you choose to go through, he will wreck everything and go through. If you choose to surrender, he goes (slightly embelished) "Fuck your cold feet! You said we were going and we ARE going". His mindset is consistent.

Episode 4 is BY FAR the worst episode. The two meetings between Sean and Daniel are so incredibly bad and ridiculous, that i facepalmed a lot and became really upset at the last 10 minutes how stupid it all was. sean standing up slowly 200 times when getting ebat up, while the church was burning already and this asshole beating me only when i was done speaking every time, ...then daniel, whow as the most stubborn disgusting kid.....no, hell no (hell :) ) - that was by far the worst. when they got out of there, it was all good again, and episode 5 was perfectly beautiful.

As a minority, playing this game with the racism stuff being implanted into the story kinda made me trigger and did effect how I did play the game. I also get scared thinking about going to the states lol
