In part two the locomotives are returning to Worcester after having hauled the Phelophepa to Swellendam earlier that morning.
Designed by General Electric and manufactured in South Africa by Dorman Long Locomotive. The South African Class 35, model GE U15C were manufactured in two sub classes commonly known as 35-000 and 35-400 series.

Meaning Good Clean Health the Phelophepa provides primary healthcare throughout South Africa's most rural communities. Launched in 1994 the original train consisted of only three coaches, but soon grew to 19 coaches followed by a second train in 2012. Specialised coaches provide on-site general health, dental, eye, psychology, pharmacy and educational facilities.
The Phelophepa's see service for nine months of the year and boast a permanent staff of 40 as well as a large complement of volunteers of which many are final year medical students. Spending a few weeks at each pre-planned location large tents are erected to provide seating and further work area for the staff.
The train is also supported by a small entourage of vehicles including an ambulance, water tanker, mobile satellite unit and a variety of 4x4 vehicles.
