The whole "Taste Of Love" album (if you follow thru and read the title tracks in order) deals with feelings of First Love, being in Love, being hurt because of Love, and then moving out of Love. "Cry for Me" being the perfect ending track ~ 🥰😂
cry for me is on taste of love but is cry for me english version, at the time it was only in the cd but last year they released it on dogital platforms in the The Remixes album (which has the best version of I Can't Stop Me)
Taste of Love gives me a whole summer fling vibe, like the beginning of summer and meeting someone and then going through the rest of the season in the album and SOS like a bittersweet ending like you do t want it to end, but this is just feeling not really taking the lyrics into consideration more just the sound
Cry For Me was a pre-released single for Taste of Love but they didn't include it on the album maybe because it didn't fit the concept. But, the Cry For Me (English version) is the one that was actually part of Taste of Love but for some reason, they only put it in the vinyls, albums and CDs as some sort of like an additional track for the album. It was not released along with the album on streaming platforms. Though they recently released it like two months ago after almost 3 years.
So glad you enjoyed this album! I love the flirty sensual vibes of this one, it just makes perfect sense for a summer love kinda vibe, and the visuals from alcohol free just fit perfectly!! For future albums I’d love to hear your thoughts on the more & more album by twice (the mini album that came out before eyes wide open). Also to take a step from twice (but still in kpop!) have you listened to the chill kill album red velvet put out last year? I think it’s incredible and would love to hear your thoughts on it! Thanks so much for another very entertaining reaction!! ❤️
Thank you so much for the kind comment ❤"More&More" is definitely coming soon on my list, excited to listen to it! I wanted to get into Red Velvets' discography for a while just knowing some songs from them, thank you for the recommendation! Have a lovely day
Solie! I really really want you to react to Taylor Swift's album "Folklore". I know it's not going to be the most diverse kind of album in terms of genre (it's mostly indie/alt with a touch of country) but as far as I know, it's a fiction and non-autobiographic album (well most of the songs), so you can imagine the amount of creative freedom it consists of. And I swear, it's one of the best-written albums that I've ever listened to, maybe even the best-written album by a mainstream artist. I know Taylor Swift has a bad rep to a lot of music fans but really, she's one of the best out of her peers and she writes and produces all of her music, which not a lot does. I can't wait for the day you react to her! I'm not gonna write the genre for every song but I'm gonna list down the themes of every song in the album. I hope this helps! 1. The 1 - A person reminiscing about a past relationship and thinking about what could've been. 2. Cardigan - A woman singing about her young love and the experience of being cheated on. 3. The Last Great American Dynasty - Story of Rebekah Harkness, a socialite and philanthropist during the 1940s, and the previous owner of Taylor's house in Rhode Island. 4. Exile - Two exes seeing each other after the breakup. It's a duet, one with the perspective of the man, thinking how the woman has quickly moved on. And the other is the perspective of the woman saying she has left many signs that the relationship wasn't working anymore. 5. My Tears Ricochet - The tormentor showing up at the funeral of their fallen object of obsession who was once their friend. It's also a direct reflection of how your friend could become your greatest enemy because they know exactly how to hurt you. 6. Mirrorball - About how people feel like you have to be different versions of yourself around different people. It is also interpreted as how Taylor feels after her tour got cancelled because of the pandemic. 7. Seven - The pureness of childhood friendships and the carefreeness of youth. It is also about Taylor's youth with a childhood friend who was abused by their parents, but it's not confirmed if this was real or fictional. 8. August - A woman singing about a summer fling where it was clearly just a one-sided affair. 9. This Is Me Trying - People who are suffering from addiction or mental illness who have an everyday struggle. 10. Illicit Affairs - About infidelity. The short-lived high that it gives you and the long-term consequences that follow. 11. Invisible String - Latched around the myth that soulmates are tied together by a gold string of fate. 12. Mad Woman - It confronts gaslighting and the sexist, misogynist taboo regarding women's anger. 13. Epiphany - An homage to healthcare workers and the military for their selfless services during the COVID-19 pandemic and wars. 14. Betty - Sang in the perspective of a boy apologizing to his girlfriend after he cheated on her. 15. Peace - The dynamics of having a very public and famous partner. The absence of normalcy of a relationship. 16. Hoax - A look into the futility of a toxic relationship and the inability to let go of that relationship. 17. The Lakes - About the famous go-to place of known poets like William Wordsworth, Robert Southey, etc, in Northwest England called the Lake District. Also delves into the topic of cancel culture. Ps. There's a trilogy in the album that Taylor Swift created. It's a love triangle between high school classmates. Cardigan - POV of Betty, the girl who was cheated on. Betty - POV of James, Betty's boyfriend. August - POV of Augustine, the girl whom James cheated with.
@@soliedaisy Yes! Also, I promise you, this album is different from what Taylor has released before. From what I remember, this was her first time releasing an album away from her pop roots. She also wrote this entire album in two months, and she worked with just two producers (It's basically a three-man team). This was a shift for her and this album is the album that cemented her as a great songwriter, even though I could attest that she's been a great songwriter for years. I understand perfectly that some of her hits may come off as cringe because Taylor loves writing songs that appeal to the general public, but if you try to listen to her albums, you'll definitely find something worth adding to your playlist. And yes, you're right! Diversity isn't just about genres and sounds, and I promise you this album is very diverse in terms of the themes and topics it ventured into. I can't wait for your reaction! Have a great day!
The audio in "Conversation" is a bit adjusted, the bridge part where the solo synth playing should have more volume. Since the audio went from 2-3 conversions for this lyric video it affected the sounds.
You should react to Billlie they are a 7 member kpop group but 2 of them are on hiatus and there music differs in genre a lot they have such good songs and there B-sides are probably some of the best B-sides in my opinion
24:48 the person is talking about the cry for me English version they didn't put cry for me English ver. in the digital album because they only included it on physical album and they released the cry for me english version in digital album in remix album that they released last year with the collab of “Boys like Girls" in I can't stop English version remix.
I see! I read that in other comments too, makes sense! Cry for me is an amazing song, I will listen to it ten times every day to compensate not searching for enough info 😂
Oh I forgot to mention that there’s nothing wrong with the Lyric video of First Time, the line distribution is all accurate 😆 If you have been confused about.. for example… Chaeyoung’s line then it’s understandable 😆 She is known as the main rapper but she is actually the 4-5th best vocalist in Twice too… when a member is missing during a promotion, she is covering them and sing the chorus despite being a main rapper (she has sung I can’t stop me’s chorus, cry for me’s chorus and etc) She has some melody projects where she showcased her vocals if you wanna check them out on your own time or on camera if you want … Even during Sixteen she was praised for being an all rounder even thought she was rap-based trainee ^^ Wait.. HAHAHA I don’t know why I’m giving too much information for no reason 😭😂
I think the melody about the baby blue love is a bit different nayeon sing it like: "you're my baby..blue...love" like each word has space for it and "baby blue" is a bit close while love is a bit late
This is a long shot but since you said you want recommendation on music other than Kpop - have you ever listened to My Chemical Romance by any chance and if you haven't i would recommend their "Black Parade" album and hope you have a nice day :). Also the new twice single is out and will you react to that or will you wait for the whole album to drop in late February?
