Normally I don't go for subscription services, or for sponsored ads, but in this case I might make an exception. To get something that you can't really get outside of Japan, this seems like a good deal. Even Daiso store in the US (Japanese import store chain) don't carry very many snacks. The convenience factor here is pretty good, and $40 for 20-24 snacks/teas isn't all that bad of a breakdown (about $2 per snack). A Snickers at 7/11 is like $1.69.

It's true even there are people that never leave the house of their parents and live there because at the end inherite the house.
@MrChristianDT
@MrChristianDT 3 года назад
Though it's still looked down on, it seems increasingly common in the US too, especially in the country. Literally the only way most people will ever afford such a house on today's wages is if it's passed down to them. Though, usually, if people end up in a committed relationship & have an opportunity nearby, they will move out of their parents' places & find a place together. Or, if they manage to find a decent paying job. Most of the minimum wage jobs, though, are only going to get you somewhere in the range of $800-1000 a month on average which, unless your on assisted living, the cheapest you're going to be able to live on is $900 a month & you'd have to living in a trailer. Next cheapest is an apartment, which would require at least $1200 a month. Or, you could buy a cheap piece of land no one wants with nothing on it & live in a tent.

I feel like half of it is the culture too. Or maybe it's a "chicken or the egg" situation, maybe the economy caused the culture. In the US most Mexican families don't want to move far from their family, people won't leave the city or only live a few blocks away. I could never understand because I love to explore new cities and states.

I'm 32 years old. I'm salaried over 100,000 USD since I was 23, and I still live at home. I honestly thought something was wrong with me until I stop caring what others thought about me. I enjoy living with my parents since they really care about me. They never asked for money, they give me my space, and they alway try their best to make me happy. I know they won't live forever so I try to appreciate the situation I have so I won't regret not spending enough time with them when they're gone.

This. The rush to be "on your own" when it's financially crippling for so many blows my mind. We (USA) have a severe debt problem and are one bad Recession (a real one, not govt mandated) from having millions never get a chance to even consider retirement or actually owning anything. It's so sad.

When people bash others for living with parents it really is so cliche, moving out at 18 has actually shown teens grow up to be much less successful and much more in debt as life is so so expensive. The only ones who are true couch potatoes are those who let there kids live with them rent free no work and doing nothing. My mother always told me it doesn't matter what I do as long as it's SOMETHING. And that urge we get in school (college) allows us to save so much more and getting out in the real world becomes a positive not a negative. Even on the flip side I've seen people have parents move in that become old or disabled and some don't get that concept of literally being there for those who gave you life your returning that favor. Those are the true heroes

Here in Canada, it's pretty normal for people from 20-25 and even 25+ to live with their parents, living alone is expensive. If people don't live with their parents they usually live at a college campus or have roommates.I think it makes sense to live at home in your 20s, you're either still in school or just starting your career.

American here, it's increasingly common here too. Back 30-40 years ago, our standard of living was lower and new graduates could afford to live on their own right out of school. It's gotten a lot harder to do that unless you're one of the lucky ones that lands a six figure income right out of college.
