I too don't care much for the rap, but hey, it's your channel. You can pic whatever you want. (I'm not going to stop watching just cause of that) ...but when you're trying to tell us about how and why you're doing what you're doing, especially when you turn your head away from the camera, then we can't hear you. (while you're driving or loading)...and I'm sure most of your viewers would like to hear your commentary. Shoot me your e-mail, and I'll send you an external mic for Christmas...cause you need one!

You did a great job explaining things , at least I know what you were talking about , but I've been around trailers enough to kind of know a little bit about fasting loads on trailers & flatbed trucks .. I didn't know they had a detachable drop neck trailer . I've only been around grain trailers & combine trailers . When you look in the mirrors all I could see was the tires , but never did measure it . Thank you for your videos they're very informative and enjoy watching them . I had to retire from farming and custom harvesting because of my health issues in 2000 . Merry Christmas & Happy New Year . Please stay safe out of the roads ..

Twinsticks Garage just purchased a stretched 1979 Kenworth K100;and will begin restoring it later on in spring 2021,after he finishes Old Blue Little by little,and the Kenworth W900A project Snowman.He said that "these trucks are getting rarer,and harder to find;with each passing year.We need to save the "Flying bricks" before they are lost to the crusher at the scrap yard".Truckers may have hated them with a passion;because if you got into an accident,you were literally "The first person on the scene",they were for the most part all spring ride;which made them ride really rough,and they were awkward and dangerous to climb in and out of in wet and rainy;and cold frigid winter weather,and they were humid as hell,hot as hell,during the summer;as the A/C tended to not work so well,causing the engine to overheat.They were also not very well insulated to keep the driver/passengers legs & feet warm during the cold frigid winter months.Despite the problems mentioned above,many O/O truckers across the country are now racing against the clock,to save as many of these old cab overs as they possibly can;for nostalgic purposes,before they are lost forever.

Thanks for explaining this. I always wondered about how these trailers functioned. Thought it was a pneumatic or hydraulic system. Waaaaay simpler.

Actually, the newer ones are hydraulic. You don't have to unhook from the trailer, a hydraulic ram raises the low portion of the trailer, the wires, hoses, and support connections are disconnected, then the truck pulls away with the towing portion of the trailer. There are vids showing it if you look around a bit.

liked your video as to your comment about securing the blade i come from an aviation background and we secure things like that for our own safety as loads moving in flight can and has killed people so i assume that having that much steal moving on your trailer may have a detrimental affect on the handling of your truck

Was going to say that Orwell was only about 30 miles fro his first place of business. Depending on how Steve went home they could have gone right by there. My guess was he headed out to 15 then north but I do know how much drivers dislike the PA turnpike

handmade truck from Texas. One of the finest built trucks ever made, and one of the few I've never driven. (rats!! I've always wanted to) They had both conventionals and overcabs

Why not dump your rear air bags, back up under the trailer, and then air up your bags? We do this when connecting to our trailers if they are low.

Hello have a question about hauling a cat d5 is it legal to transport with blade in the air tilted and sitting on blocks to reduce the width of the blade. I always was under the impression that blade flat on deck. What is your opinion and what is the law say??

That's weird seeing the same road I travel on. I pass that little rest stop at least twice a week. The next exit, there is a small truck stop called Tom's. Just in case you come this way again. Also he's telling you how to tie down the little bulldozer to the trailer but you know everything so you already know how to tie down the bulldozer to the trailer. he's saying you tie down from the front of the frame behind the blade and at the back of the bulldozer from the frame to the trailer at both points you do not go over the blade he says it will cut the chain. Any other questions?
