So needing to fly back to LA I realised Virgin were starting the 787 service on VS7 right around the time I was heading back. Thought why not try it out rather than flying on 777's... Overall I had a wonderful flight! The aircraft was pretty quiet, comfortable, spacious & I didn't feel as bad after 11 hours flying with the improved cabin air quality and lower cabin altitude. Would highly recommend flying on the 787 if you get the chance! Virgin as a company were fairly good. Ground staff were some of the worst I've had at an airport, though cabin & flight crew were all friendly as they come!

Great footage! I flew on Virgin Atlantic from Boston to Heathrow, loved every minute! The night lights in the cabin were so relaxing. At times it didn't feel I was flying. Virginia Atlantic is the best airline:) Thanks again mate!

HeathrowSpottingHD Gatwick,, Heathrow,Frankfurt; can be some truly horrible experiences. But then again, a majority of their population (airport workers too) will never be able to fly........beyond packaged Tours to Malaga,etc. crammed aboard a 757/A320 variant. Poor Plebs over there...so the all too familiar questionable customer-service experience is pretty predictable. What 54%+ of the UK workforce is on the "DOLE"(having a tax-based occupation).........redundant Airport workers in that category. UK economy is imploding on itself.........no Country's economy can survive those numbers.

13:03, LAX Terminal 3, home of my favorite airlines Virgin America and JetBlue. BTW, the 787-9 looks absolutely gorgeous in Virgin Atlantic colors, especially the new livery.

Lol yeah this is the style my flight videos have always been... not really into comprehensive airline/aircraft 'reviews'. I only really care for the view outside and the movements on the wing - but that's just the pilot in me I suppose. Hopefully in the near future I'll have videos from the front seat that'll be a little more interesting!! (:

That's a fair enough reason, and it's YOUR film after all. However, it is a little dull to watch. Perhaps you could mention that in the title in your future films, so others won't click on it expecting a review of the seat, food, leg room, etc? Ta very much.

Great video, I'm trying to choose my seat in economy and was wondering what seat has a view with no wing?

Thanks mate. The 787's wing is so long, you can see it from any economy seat. I flew on another one a few weeks back and sat in 58K, located in the aft economy cabin and I had a good view of the wing, but also clear view of the general outside :-) If you go to my instagram (20thpilot) you can see a photo taken from there. I'll have the video up soon.

Nice flight from Heathrow to Los Angeles 787, but I would've taken more photos of the cabin, maybe do a little walk around to show off this beautiful plane, and more of the flight information screen, showing where the plane is flying over, speed, altitude, etc.. But, that's just me, yes I am a little picky..

Excellent video! How did you like economy on the 787? I've read complaints by people who write that the 787 just isn't wide enough for a 3-3-3 seating configuration.

David Halligan Thank you mate. Honestly I thought it was the opposite of not wide enough! Though I've been flying on 777's long haul since 2011 - we know how airlines like to pack you in on those! They have 2-3-2 in premium economy I think and it did look quite nice. No real complaints though (-:

Its hard for me to hand the torch down from the 777-300 to the 787-9...but its the time to....The 787-9 is now the sexiest civilian jet to date....alongside the md-11, the sexiest cargo aircraft in service... i.Im referring to the 787-9 only though...im not feeling the shorter look of the original 787-8...the only turn off in this video ..i dont know if its a virgin atlantic thing only...is that cabin alert noise sounding immediately after V2 and immediately upon touchdown...what the hell is that about?? its abnormal i hate it .the only turn off though.

Sussex Flyer I didn't even take lunch in myself if that helps in how appertising it looked (-; I sat here on purpose as I wanted to see the different movements on the wings compared to the 777. I film these videos for myself (like every video I take) but share the content here that I think others might enjoy (-:
