Even in Season 14, Geoff doesn't get the respect he deserves from Sally or Adam. Still, it's always good to see that Glen Murphy stayed with Blue Watch since Season 1 Episode 1. Even though he was 45 when they did this season. I miss London's Burning every day. It ended two years before I was born.
People are commenting how sally was a Sub turned Leading Firefighter. I think it’s because Geoff asked her to take Adam’s place, so she may have picked up the helmet that was already in that appliance. Which must have been the one with 1 stripe. Not sure, but it seems like the most possible explanation.
Or they filmed it wrong ?, you always wear your own kit. Also Adam was holding the hemet as the engine rolled out, likewise sally was when bells went down. So helmets not on the engine
Here’s a little notice from back from the old days of London’s Burning, Geoff was the one sub that was given a white helmet, the rest of them may have been temporary station officers but they still wore their two striped yellow helmets, in the uniforms and then from Chris Hammond-John Coleman-Mick Callaghan had the one stripe and white detailing. Just something I noticed
Actually that’s not true, for Series 1-11 the acting station officer (usually a sub) would wear collar and shoulder rankings of a Station officer but a blue shirt and yellow helmet of a sub complete with two stripes of a sub on said helmet, Chris Hammond even wears this during series 11 From episodes 3-7 prior to the change. When the change did occur acting station officers were issued a yellow helmet but had a white plate attached with a single stripe as a more clear indicator of their rank, as can be seen on Geoff here and throughout series 14 on Mick Callaghan.
The only way I can watch this season is by watching it separate from S1-13, although parts of it are alright overall I really dislike the main plotlines and lack of shouts, also the CGI fires. I personally would have preferred the original Series 14 which would have had the standard 15+ episode count with the characters from S13 which was the original idea.
Did anyone notice at role call, Sally had two stripes, indicating she would be Sub or now in days “Watch Manager” and then between the shout coming in and arriving on the ground of the shout, her helmet changed to one stripe? Talk about not checking you’re work, sorry iTV but still
If im honest with you. I bought the 2 boxsets about 7 year's ago from HMV. Both cost me £225. I loved series 1-10.i did like series 11-14 when I was younger. It was only till I watched the boxsets. I realise Sally got on my nerves (just like she played Becca in Ultimate Force couldn't stand her in both series 3 and 4 of that). Then I realised I did actually hate series 14.
1:42 I don’t know so much about London’s burning. I’m only here for the action and the firefighters, but this guy closing his eyes because he can smell the alcohol from the other Fireman? Back when I was 13 I found this scene kind of funny .
It’s more that series 14 did that to all of the elder characters or anyone introduced prior to series 11, George and Geoff got no story arcs, and Recall got killed in the first episode by a heart attack, the show just wanted shot off of all the older characters hence the loss of John Colman, Hyper and Hi-Ho, but they couldn’t get rid of everyone without killing the show then and there, instead they tortured fans for 8 weeks with this dribble
London's Burning, like The Bill, used to be a good show. Then, like The Bill, it was turned into a soap and the producers wondered why everyone stopped watching.
@@rhysrobertstransportationa1668 how can she be acting sub when ahes not a full crew commander? Thats impossible to just jump from ff to sub 🤣🤣. Also i should know
