Bro, it is 100% the injuries lol. He’s said he can barely walk, can’t pick up his own kids, etc. he’s had three completely different and separate injuries affecting multiple parts of his body and I don’t blame him for resenting baseball a bit for destroying his body.

I don't think anyone other than Pirates fans has them out of last place in the division. Maybe we sneak ahead of the Cardinals just because of their Trainwreck season but I doubt it. Honestly as a true and loyal Angels fan, I'm actually very optimistic about this season. Our young guys are studs. Most of them were rookies last year. (Schanuel, Neto, O'Hoppe, even Moniak). And all of them did pretty damn well. And now they have some experience under their belt and are growing more into their ML bodies and mindset. So this season should be a breakout year for all of them. Secondly, the past few years we havent even had a solidified coaching staff either, let alone a skipper in Wash that can actually light a fire in the clubhouse. So thats another huge overlooked improvement for us. Chemistry is important. Thirdly, last few seasons we got hit with the injury bug. If Trouty or Rendon are in for a full season that adds some WAR alone right there. Rengifo and Drury also found their groove last year and should be everyday guys for us as well. Theres a lotta firepower across the board. Lastly, its imperative we get an Ace. Whether Bauer or Snell. Its always been about our pitching. We got Herget, Moore, Estevez to clean up if we get a good 6 by our starters. So if we somehow had a Snell, Bauer, Sandavol, Canning/Silseth, Detmers. I think overall thats a team that can really compete. Its up to our Front Office if we really care or not. Cause this could really be a comeback year without all the Ohtani pressure

As An Angels fan I don’t got high expectations especially w Arte still in charge. Just want to see improvement from our young guys especially Neto and O’Hoppe. Don’t think we should overpay for one of the big free agents it’d be the usual Angels signing big names and they become cheeks 💩. Praying arte sells soon or he feels the pressure of the league and decides to sell

the only offensive "holes" the Angels have are Schanuel and Neto Neto plays stellar defense and has shown flashes of being a decent hitter. He also gets on base a decent amount and can run a bit. Moves batters over. Schanuel has played 29 games in the majors and has a 29 game on base streak that Is still active. There is reason to believe he can produce at the bigs. DH - Rengifo 110 OPS+ C - O'HOPPE 111 OPS+ 1B - SCHANUEL 103 OPS+ 2B - DRURY 110 OPS+ SS - NETO 85 OPS+ 3B - RENDON 85 OPS+ ( no way its that low again.) LF - WARD 105 OPS+ ( finally felt healthy after playing injured for like 2 months then got injured again, while he's healthy u can expect 115-125 OPS + TROUT MONIAK - 110 OPS+ ( should have better stats in RF with platoon options. The offense is good and the Angels still have money to spend if they''re willing to. They're 50M shy of the luxury tax

@@nastyeggplant Rendon has started every season slow since his career began. EVen his MVP seasons he started slow. All his injuries with the Angels have been freak accidents, so I do expect him to play next season. The only time he made it to the end of the season with the Angels was in 2020 when he was the best 3B in the game.

Angels fan here… I see the potential for a winning baseball club but it’s not likely. My ideal batting order would be: 1B: Schanuel LF: Ward CF:Trout 3B: Rendon DH: Drury C: Ohoppe RF: Moniak 2B: Rengifo SS: Neto Now tell me that doesn’t have potential to be a potent lineup. The issue is (and always has been) pitching. The rotation needs one or two more arms. I’ve been waiting for snell and/or Montgomery to be signed all season. The bullpen is solid. No complaints, Perry did a good job getting arms. If things go right, I could see this team being at the 85 wins they were in pace for. If things go how they usually go, it’ll be another 75 win season.

A half of this team's lineup statcast hates. They have lost Shohei. Their star infielder is completely checked out, star outfielder is injury prone. Multiple holes on defense and so so pitching staff. Team that has cratered at end of the season and you have them all over? Have some journalistic integrity. I would understand one or even two over for fun, but what are you doing? Appeasing Angels fan base so they like you more? This sucks.

@@gigachadposter3516 I agree that we don’t deserve the shit we’ve dealt with, but it’s not as easy as you think to just switch teams, let alone, switch to a rival. Especially considering I’ve been a diehard fan for 16 years and have supported this team every step of the way.
