Lost Code Fix Factory Default Reset Code Schlage BE 375 Deadbolt Lock Lost Combination FAQ. How to reset your Keyless Dead bolt Schalge lock when you have no way to open it.
Omg! Thank-you. After I accidentally changed the programming code, I called customer service NO. HELP. Your video saved me buying a new lock. $119 in my pocket.
Wayne - Great Video! This is exactly what I needed. Moved into a new house and I have the User codes but needed the PC code. You mentioned it but did not show where inside the cover. You might want to include this next time. Thanks for your help.
Hi Wayne, Thanks very much for your video. I have a second hand lock FE595 and someone changed the 6 digit setting which stopped me adding a new access code. I followed your instructions and I reset the lock back to the access code that was listed on the lock by the factory. Exactly as you said it would. Thanks for this video you are my hero for today. All the best, Gary
Thank you so much we did not have the factory codes because no one left anything with the house when we arrived a few years ago my issues that the locks not functioning properly so I'm hoping resetting the device might help its like it lacks power even with a new battery in it. And just doesn't lock when you tell it too via button press and no longer allows us to unlock the door either it makes noise but doesn't actually function properly. Hopefully its not worn out.
Thanks a bunch, your video was clear and concise! Problem solved. Your content is a perfect example of my love-hate relationship with RU-vid. I love the content providers like yourself and I’m so appreciative of the original brilliance of RU-vid founders but it sickens me to support the evil monopolistic censoring and ant-American behavior of Google.
hi there. i have the schlage BE375. this past weekend i noticed that it wasnt working correctly. so i dismanteled it, and one of the wires to the battery were broken. so i fixed that, but everything back on the door. and for whatever reason, i can press the Schlage name on the key pad and it will lock and unlock the deadbolt...i cant figure out what i am doing wrong. im so frustrated.
I have a Schlage FE595. Im missing the Key, and the last 2 digits of the programming code.I have the serial number. How can I easily get the programming code?
Please help lol I have reset my lock to factory code but I don't have the manual and there is no sticker in the back. Is there a default code that would work for all models??
To save you hours of headache: If you are trying to change programming code and it won't accept your current programming code, then you can easily reset to default programming code by unplugging the wire from the battery, then press the exterior schlage button to clear any additional memory cache, then press and hold the exterior schlage button as you reconnect the battery (you may have to do this twice if the default programming code doesn't work). Also note: the programming code can be found on the inside of the unit itself if you can't find where you placed it. Also, if you set up the app, and connect it to your door, the programming code will automatically no longer work. It assumes you can program everything on the app. You can reset following my instructions above if you want to remove the lock from all devices and erase everything from it's memory. Good luck🤞
what if the previous owners were nice enough to remove that sticker on the inside is there anything you can do find out the programming code or just that one.
Then your screwed. Sorry but it's the truth. Unless you can find some identifying number on the lock ans call Schlage tech support there is not much to do but replace it.
Wayne Winton can I ask when you say inside where inside I unscrewed they back but I see no sticker... you me I have to take the back panel off then the lock n it’s there?
I bought a new home, the program manual wasn't provided, and there is no sticker with a programming code inside the back. Do I need to buy a new lock? Or, is there another way to factory reset without the program code?
Becky Cunningham-Smallwood me too! I have the key but don't know how to take off the lock. I can't find any videos of how to change the pin without removing the whole lock. Did any of you find one?
Hi! Such a great video! Although when I disconnected the battery, my lock didn’t beep when I push the Schlage. So it’s still not factory reset. Please help.
the lock thinks i am trying to enter my code to unlock the door when I am trying to enter the programming code, thus giving me an error over and over. what do i do?
good video but I have a problem i don't have the booklet anymore and someone took off the sticker with that code on it am I totally screwed or can u help me please
Take the lock off the door, there is a sticker on the back with your programming code. Then you can download the manual and change both the programing code and the default user codes.
I purchased a home and don't have the paperwork to change the code.... Once I reset it....as per your video, how do I know what the programming code is?
It's on the sticker on the inside of the door handle frame that's outside of the home. Sometimes yellow or white. It will list the default programming code as well as the 2 default door pin codes. Good luck!
I only wish the video had first explained to look to see if you see the sticker with the default code on it before you reset it. I knew the previous code, just wanted to change it but now I've done the reset per the videos instructions and there is no sticker that gives me the code to reset it. now I can't use it at all
so, im concerned. i made sure the deadbolt lever was pointing up and that the dead bolt was retracted. its not hard to install. but omg, seriously, what the heck am i doing wrong on this thing? please
The sticker and the serial number have been removed. So by doing this procedure we won't need the programming code and can set one ourselves? Husband seems to think you meant you needed the programming code to do the factory reset.
Yeah, but... What if, that sticker from the inside has gone missing or the original owner tore it out? Is the whole lock now garbage or use it as a paper weight? I spent 25 min on the phone with Schlage and finally gave up on waiting. So, here I am, trying to find an answer, bet it's simple, too.
Hi there, Do you by any chance know if its possible to open one without the master password? I have a room that has no other way to go in and i can't open the door. Hope you can help. Thanks.
If you have to drill those locks off you're a pretty sorry locksmith. They pick like any other schalge does, they aren't "high security" . Once he get in via locksmith the programming code is on a sticker right on the back of the lock.
If you have lost your 6 digit recovery code use the following procedure, you will need a phillips screwdriver and a credit card. 1. remove the 2 screws securing the inside cover 2. remove the 2 screws securing the outside unit to the inner locking piece 3. throw everything in the garbage 4. drive to your nearest home depot or some other store. 5. buy another one
Another site mentioned that you need to actually remove the lock mechanism from the door to see the sticker. It's not where you can see it by just removing the battery cover.
