I've been making this mix for 40 years. I used to give it away at Christmas. I love your idea of the ranch dressing pack instead of the tiny packet of chex mix seasoning. 👌

To evenly distribute the wet ingredients try pouring it all into a Ziploc bag and gently shaking it all before you put it in the pan.

Jamie, I use Crispex cereal which is a mix of corn and rice Chex and ad a small box of wheat Chex.

Yes, you can get them shelled already. In most major supermarkets. They call them "Pepitas." AND, THEY ARE DELICIOUS RIGHT OUT OF THE PACKAGE. THEY ARE USUALLY IN A CLEAR PLASTIC HARD CONTAINER IF YOU'RE GOING TO LOOK FOR THEM....

Jamie, I am the "Trash Maker" in our family. I have to make 3 of those deep pans that you had. Three... My mom passed away in Dec 2019 so don't make it as much as use to. She loved it and she wanted a kick. We liked Trappey's Chipotle Sauce. I could drink it from the bottle. Lol. Once again, I will never say Go Dawgs. I say Roll Tide Roll Baby.
