god listening to this show practically makes me cry... used to stay up and listen to it every night in my bed, unknown to my parents, at age 10-12... now I'm 17 and I wish for times like that to come back to me. guess this is what growing up feels like
lmao this mouth breather was being nostalgic about a show that had been off the air for only 4 years lmao its been 22 years now and his comment is how i feel
Similar shit has happened to me so many times when asking basic information from women. It is so infuriating, you are convinced that they are pretending to be that dense
I dated a girl who had a degree in anthropology from UCLA, she couldn't define what anthropology is. And, much like this caller, she didn't simply not know, her response to "what is anthropology," consisted of her realizing I knew she didn't know what the word was defined as and sent her into a long winded equivocation about how it could means different things to different people and blah blah blah. Really the bitch just like international travel so she picked a major that would allow her to do that.
I used to listen to this show from about 2000-2002 religiously every night. And I gotta tell you, I learned more about the stupidity of the youth than I did anything else. I was speechless on at least one occasion every night on account of a callers stupidity. I think that and Adam Corolla's wit were a tie for entertainment value and why I listened EVERY FUCK night.
I started listening in '92 but I haven't listened in a while, I remember back then Ricky Rackman was co-host and in '94 Adam came in the picture and it was all 3 for a few weeks and then Ricky left to get his own radio show and I was bummed out that he left but then I noticed Adam was funnier so it all worked out. 10 years after Adam left and I only listen now and then.
GOD!!!!!! i miss adam on love line but still i listen to them every EVERY night cuz i work night shift. They kickass till this day, but nobody NOBODY CAN REPLACE ADAM C.
Love the revelation that the whole time she thought that the door was a metaphor for something, presumably her vagina. Another problem with the way women think is that they are incapable of taking anything literally. Everything has a subtext or is a metaphor for something else.
This the greatest clip I've listened to today and I've listened to a LOT. I am seriously having to turn it off so I can finish the last 10 minutes of my cubicled day without keeling over with laughter.
From the 2006 IRC: - R311.4.2 Door type and size. The required exit door shall be a side-hinged door not less than 3' in width and 6'8" in height. Other doors shall not be required to comply with these minimum dimensions. - 5. Door openings within a dwelling unit or sleeping unit shall not be less than 78" in height. - 6. Exterior door openings in dwelling units and sleeping units, other than the required exit door, shall not be less than 76" in height.
The problem is Adam made a joke in the beginning about her clitoris, and she didn't realize he was just joking, so when he followed up with a question about "her doorway" she thought that was a euphemism for some part of her sexual anatomy.
$0.70 is truly an outrage especially for this girl. I've listened to this episode and this bit about 20 times over the past year or so and i always verbally say "oh wow" at 5:17. it makes no sense
it was the january fifth, 2005 episode where linkin park was on. the charity was tsunami relief. i've been listening to old episodes and just happened to be in that time frame so i've been hearing the followups as well. haven't gotten to the astrophysicist yet though.
I think at the time, when I would stay up and listen to this with headphones, I didn't realize how young both of them actually were (I'm that age now).
Yesterday they chatted with a guy who claimed that he "blasted" six to eight times a day. The guys were wondering what came out the eighth time, whether it was powder, a ghost or one's soul.
his last show was april 17....and u can thank anderson for adam not makin an appereance on last nights show. Tom Green didnt show up and Dr. Drew said "call Carolla get him in here or call andy dick" Anderson "i call andy dick"
I heard that he volunteered to leave in order for the station to cut costs...Something about they didn't have enough money to pay the salaries of both Stryker and Dr. Drew. "On April 22, 2009, Stryker announced that due to financial cutbacks at Westwood One, he would be leaving the show. Dr. Drew will continue to host the show with a rotating cast of co-hosts and guests."
@captainpegs07 Because it said she was from Ontario means she's Canadian? Or did you hear that Carolla mentioned Ontario is also a city in California??
I like Adam, he's a real talent. I was turned off by Dr. Drew around 4-years ago because once a young lady called the show and was clearly depressed and thinking about throwing in the towel. Drew was cold and harsh towards her and said some crap about how she was just trying to get attention, and so he hung up on her and the show went on. After that I never much liked the guy.
