My '86 Classic had the front fork air suspension but the air line went down to the highway bar that Harley used as an 'air tank'. The Schrader valve is on the highway bar. On the third rebuild of the bike I installed Progressives.
Hello Doc , i want to ask you something , maybe you can advice me or help . The front air system on the forks is broken so i would like to replace the forkcaps . My questions is , can i use just oil and the old springs and new caps with out air systen and how much oil n each fork to put inside . Ps the bike is a 01 flhi road king . Thank you !!
Many have followed your example when air assist parts became rare. Research the following years when HD dumped this marvelous engineering and build likewise….Doc
My opinion is after a few ounces the syringe won't be able to force more in. And then there is the moment when you pull the syringe out and put the screw in.....Doc
But Sir... I own a 2013 FLHTC. I can't find anywhere how to simply change fork oil (non air assist) on a "Dresser". I'll be rebuilding my forks. But thinking future, every 10-15,000 mile changes. And for others trying to learn how to maintain their "Dresser" Harley's
