Totally solo, 7 years in, was destined for the scrap yard (wrecked and repaired), 4 different makes/ models of Ford's involved, re-engineering and fabrication. Been on 1 test run and back to my shop for further refinement. I admit I'm OCD but when it's road worthy (imo bullet proof). Yes, she will be a very fun little ride and dependable as it gets. No expense or time was spared. Plan to upload to the tube when primarily satisfied.

@@MRE_Motorsports search on the ranger station there is a thread on a guy taking the explorer rear which you want being lowered and it's a 31 spline to and it's all bolt in. Plus then you have rear disc brakes

Was told they weren't available. Might just need to run to the local dealer.

Dirty dingo datsun 280z mounts

I honestly can’t remember at the moment.

No, the dirty dingo mounts are not bolt in. Far from it. I ended up welding the mounts directly to the crossmember

Thanks Erik!! Used the Datsun 280 mounts but they don't work very well without modification. And I was using the harness from the Fitech ultimate Ls standalone at this time.

MRE Motorsports I just started a ranger build. Well actually all I’ve done is planned and bought a truck lol. It’s a 95 yellow splash single cab. But the plan is big tires, 5.3l, turbo, ar5 manual trans, 8.8 rear end.

Heck yeah. They arent super easy to swap but a pretty unique platform to build. Atleast at the moment.

MRE Motorsports bought the truck for $700. Drove it home. What it really came down to was price and condition. I hunted for any small truck and the ford worked out best. Plus that black auto cross truck really turns me on. Weather it’s starting to trend or not had nothing to do with the decision, but does seem like people are catching on.

The return line was easy. I just bent it around And use pre-existing hose. Pressure side was a little more difficult but once i new the thread size for gm pump And ranger box I just made a braided -6 an line to connect them

I can't remember the sizes off the top of my head but the fittings were easy to find.

Yeah I'm having trouble figuring the fittings for the box and what lines to use it's the last thing on my swap

Can I use the 16mm 6 gm fittings for old school gm box ??

I cant remember which fittings I used. Ill see if i can find the receipt for them.

I ran the stock rear end until it broke. And swapped to an explorer 8.8

Weight was 3500lbs with driver.

Yeah the BK has a 3.42 with a 28in tire and its right around 2700 on the highway.

Really just depends on what parts you do and don't have. And what the end goal is.

Basically a l33 short block with some 317 heads and a custom cam. But soon to change a few things 😎

You can put whatever you can fit in it! Some cutting may be required lol

I'm a Mopar/Honda guy so Fords and Chevys are like lab rates lol

@@MRE_Motorsports fair enough, besides that I’m 16 and can’t afford anymore than the truck itself anyways. The ranger gets a lot of hate, I don’t see why. Sure it’s a small truck but he’s capacity is still 1300 pounds, you can swap a 302 in, or if your going Chevy the ls7 used a similar block in dimensions to a 5.3. So you could theoretically get 7 liters into this thing. Besides that once I get the money I’m looking at c5 corvettes, I ain’t got no family to worry about so I’ll stick with my regular cab and vette lol. Got some big plans for both, just gotta get a job to support em(looking to work as a lineman) all I need is my senior year of high school and a 1 year tech course then boom, 60k salary. Very simplified but I think this gets the point across.

@@MRE_Motorsports I appreciate all the American company’s for different reasons. Chevy has the corvette, Dodge had the viper and the 2500 diesel and the charger(the ultimate family car, and Ford has the f250 and mustang. To simplify, Chevy is lightweight sport car Dodge is more power Ford is for work That’s how I think of it at least.

Id build one. I normally do stuff for myself and close friends but I'm always open to building cool stuff if someone is willing to spend the time and money needed to reach their goals!

It's really hard to say since I try and do everything on my own. A so woulda charge a ton. And then depends on the type of deals you get on engine, trans etc...id say it probably cost me $5-6k to do the swap in parts alone. But I didn't keep track of exact amount
