At 40 below, my fuel is going to be jell-o, my radiator and block will be frozen, my battery will be dead, and my tires will be froze to the ground. If it ever gets that cold, I won't be worried about the oil in my gearbox. I'll be busy fighting the polar bear for scraps of whale meat!
I home in Northern Mn not in the artic. The winter of 21 & 22 we would have called that one of the better days, many days it never got above zero. Same as what's coming here for the next 3 weeks. You have a job you have to go to well then you got to go out in the sh!t. Very seldom did anything shut down.
@@armedfarm3429 thank you. I'm from Canada but the west coast. I know the Mn or Saskatchewan get to -30 quite a bit in the winter. I've heard you can get frost bite in your lungs if your not careful.
I have had 4 toes removed so far. It's nothing to freeze yer feet to a point that you don't know how bad they are froze when you are plowing snow or feeding cattle, it has to be done. A few years ago it was -22 at mid-day & I had to finish what I was doing. By the time I got in the house my socks had to be peeled from my feet, even though I was wearing snowmobile boots with 2pr winter insulated socks. I was outside for an hour, thats it. Look up Embarrass Mn, we get some hellish cold spells. @@jasonforster9445
