Courage is being more mindful of your fears and risks involved, but you elect to do the right thing anyway, despite the risks. Which is why, to me at least, describing Bravery as a lack of courage (mindfulness to do the right thing) makes more sense. In other words, brave = not thinking, just acting.

first I thought the same but then I realised that the black king can go to h7, which is a safe square for him
