This video shows how to build a simple raised flower bed from cheap landscape timbers that can be sourced from your local lumber supplier. We prepared the ground with a string trimmer and rake, used a circular saw to cut the timbers to proper lengths, used a cordless drill to make the holes for the concrete reinforcement bars (re-bar) used to stake down the timbers, and used a shop hammer to pound in the re-bar. This is a DIY job anyone can accomplish in an afternoon. Teresa also gives an update on our raised bed winter garden.
