Well done Penny, very realistic. I was a typist for many years until word processors came in followed by computers and then everyone became typists. Thanks for sharing your wonderful talent. Cheers Robyn ❤😊

Thank you Robyn! I took typing for 4 years in high school and my kids can type just as fast as I can, with 2 fingers. It is a lost art but I did love my typewriter (the real one). Thank you for watching!💚

Great tutorial Penny. I admire your skill in design and adaptation but above that I admire your determination and ability to turn wood, paper and paint into a realistic model of a typewriter. I think I would have given up well before making the keys😜😜

Well, Penny. What can I say? Even a saint would be in awe of your patience! I am astounded It’s fabulous Even more fabulous is that at the very moment you were posting the video I was showing off the desk I’d made (from your tutorial) to my friend - OK I haven’t quite finished it yet because I’m busy building a factory, but it only needs drawers etc - and we were checking the scale of it, and yes, it was perfect (thanks to your meticulous work) and I was telling her that all it needed, the thing I’ve been searching for forever, was a typewriter Low and behold, the magic of the cosmos, checking my phone after she’d left, I find the notification of your video on RU-vid I immediately emailed my friend, showing off for a second time, because I am now famous, having received a mention on RU-vid. She has watched your video and was so impressed, she has left a comment As I do now. I would say that the typewriter is so superb that words fail me, but that obviously isn’t the case, as I’ve got virtual verbal diarrhoea. But you know what I mean.❤

Hi Linda! This comment made my day! I didn’t know if it was quite the style you were looking for, but I’m so happy you like it! Those little keys gave me a run for my money, and truth be told they are still a little wonky 😂, but it was so much fun to make. I really appreciated the request and from the moment I read it, I couldn’t stop thinking about how I would make one. I don’t really have a use for it in my project but I would love to send it to you as a gift, as a thank you for the suggestion. If you would like to have it, you can email me your mailing address to ladybug.vines@gmail.com. 😁

I think I am the "friend" Linda is referring to. She has recently given me a dolls house she made out of Amazon boxes which is just amazing, and I have now got the "bug". I've a long way to go, and I'm repeating myself I know, but a whole new world has opened up for me, thanks to you and of course my friend Linda.

@@patricialavender2902 welcome to the world of miniatures! The learning journey is as fun and rewarding as the results, so enjoy the process. I have a lot of crafty friends but none that are interested in minis. You are so very lucky to have a friend to enjoy it with! 💚

@@pennyssmallspaces Thank you for your reply. Indeed I am very lucky to have a neighbour and friend to inspire me. Having been given the beautiful dolls house, I am so enjoying the fun of attempting to make things for it, rather than buying them.

@@patricialavender2902 Buying miniatures is so expensive! I started making mini’s because my grand daughter (who was 3 at the time) wanted a doll house. I was going to buy the furniture until I saw how much they cost! Not that they weren’t worth it, especially for the handmade ones, I just didn’t have that kind of money! Instead, I decided to make them and on to RU-vid I went. There are some really great tutorial channels out there, that are great for those new to the hobby. Julie Warren (Little bits and pieces) does wonder work and her tutorials always include easy step by step instructions as well as measurements. Another is Kat from A Square to Spare. Her newer videos are mostly geared towards 3-D printing but her older tutorials are made from wood and are wonderful! If I could be so bold as to offer some advice, it would be to give yourself grace! It takes some practice to get the hang of it (you would laugh if you could see some of my first attempts!).

I think I would like to see a platform rocker made. I am trying to recreate my aunt’s house that I went to as a child. It was in the 60s. Your cabinet and refrigerator are perfect for it. But remember a red platform rocker.(hopefully you will know about them) Also I am looking for a porch glider/swing that sat down on slides and would move back and forth. I have found the chairs but I haven’t seen the glider/swing anywhere. If you would like to take on the challenge of doing either of these I would love to it. Thanks.

How about a working recliner?
@pennyssmallspaces
@pennyssmallspaces 5 месяцев назад
Oof! Right for the jugular! 😂 I have seen another RU-vidr that made a functioning recliner but the mechanics were so complicated I couldn’t wrap my head around it. I just kept thinking “there has to be an easier way”. Let me give it some thought and if I can think of a better way, I will give it a go! In the meantime, here is a link to her tutorial💚 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BmEnPgEzthI.htmlsi=O2HUUHYpZIA25Lrc
