Hey Mark, I have really enjoyed this. Thank you! As someone who is well into adulthood & still lives with parents, as I'm unable to work & have no income, I constantly face mental abuse multiple times on a daily basis. My mother is a extremely controlling narcissist person. The mental abuse is a lot. But daily I continue to overcome it. We have so much potential as humans. We can train our minds to do great things. Just like training wheels. I learned a lot, but also still learning along the way how to deal with being with a abusive mother daily. We truly can overcome so much. I loved that you brought up how sometimes people let trama define them. Thats something I learned early on as a teen years ago. Because the shit we experience isn't who we are. Trama is not us. I had no help and truly had to learn to navigate my mind on my own, found my own strength. We can't stay in the current storm forever. We push back. As we grow in life, our abilities, skills, personality traits, that's who we are. Even in very difficult times we can learn something. Hardship can be a teacher. The light in us as humans never truly dies. We all have such a light in us. We must treat & take care of ourselves. We must know our value, once we really see our value we can overcome and face so much. Regardless of what thoughts may enter our mind, know your truth, fight those thoughts, surround yourself with good people. 100 people can say they love you & help you, but you are the only one who can truly pull yourself out, you must help your self! Have a great day Mark! Life is f**ing beautiful!

Great discussion, especially on mental illness and art. I make the worst poetry and prose when I'm depressed, but I still try to get all that crap out and make space for the good stuff when I am enlivened again. I just burn the bad and share the good and give thanks that I can know the difference

Great episode! Unfortunately, I wasn't able to stay until the end, but thank you for bringing Dr. Gorlin. Can I subtitle this entire video to post on my channel and maybe some cuts on Objetivismo Brasil?
