I must say, I actually envy those who didn't get it until he pulled the mask off. I know some people who recognised John Simm as soon as he appeared on screen. I wasn't _that_ quick; I realised who it was though when he stepped out to taunt Missy.
I was on holiday back in 2017 and got it spoiled by accident before I'd even watched the episode... Unfortunately I didn't know my way around social media very well back then 😂
to be honest though.... it would've been an even better reveal if they hadn't stupidly revealed that the master was coming back in this exact episode....
This could've been one of the greatest twists in the show's history if the BBC hadn't been forced to reveal it beforehand due to leakers. :/ Still, awesome video.
DISCLAIMER: John Simm's return as the seventh Master was actually announced before series 10 even aired, and yet, people still gave this kind of reaction.
By all accounts, this shouldn't have worked for me. We knew John Simm was coming back as the Master, we knew the Mondasian Cybermen were coming back, and throughout the episode, it seemed evident that Bill was going to be turned into a Cyberman. But, at the end of World Enough and Time in 2017, I remember my heart plummeting and my blood running cold as two Masters entered the room and Bill's new form was revealed. "I WAITED FOR YOU."
Sacha Dhawan's reveal as The Master was better because most of us were lead to believe we would not see The Master again, not after what happened. Other than the fact that we knew he would be returning, the other thing that gives him away here is his voice, it's very distinctive.
See unlike a lot of people my parents and I didn't watch the last bit of the coming soon at the beginning, but we figured it out just before he revealed himself and also the late comers to doctor who will have full on genuine reactions since they I don't think they watch the next time so it's a surprise
Is that even possible? I know that it's not with the Doctor himself, would tear the universe apart. Shouldn't something similar happen if Missy saw her past self? It could be possible with the black hole, but could someone fill me 8n please?
That's not true. The Doctor has met himself several times: The Three Doctors, The Five Doctors, The Two Doctors, The Day of the Doctor, and Twice Upon A Time.
Sigi Soltau No; the recurring theme amongst most multi-Doctor stories is that the Doctor(s) are sent on a mission by the Time Lords. 3) Sent on a mission to defeat Omega 5) Sent on a mission to Rassilon's tomb 2) The Second Doctor is visibly older, implying that this is during his time as an agent for the Celestial Intervention Agency Day) It's fair to assume the the Moment (having been built by the Time Lords) would have the technology required to overwrite the Eye of Harmony. Considering that we last saw the Saxon Master getting getting sent back to Gallifrey, it would be safe to assume that they are the ones that sabotaged his TARDIS and told him his future self was turning good.
Thing is, I haven't seen all doctor who episodes. I began with the series about 5 episodes before the season finale with David Tenant. So, even though I saw a crap load of Doctor Who I don't know the entire back story.
