Good fact is that Conor was talking about that and if im not wrong he apologized to him somehow...he said smthing like i knew who he is but this phrase got into my mind and i said it in flow 😂
It’s really a shame too, because it was a good line but Jeremy also knew he didn’t have the star power, and Conor’s response was unfortunately pretty on point
He holds the fastest knockout time in a title bout and was the first ever to hold 2 belts at the same time. Absolute legend. He had the best run a person can ask for in the UFC.
Connor is the brightest star the ufc ever saw. MMA accomplishments? Average ufc champion. Didn’t defend either of those belts and got his ass kicked half a dozen times afterwards
@@kyul9357 he’s a goat regardless of what what y’all think , he is the first person to ever hold two titles and has the fasted knockout ever in a championship fight , I’d also say he has two of the most perfect championship fights ever . He literally sparked Aldo in 13 secs and Eddie was shadow boxing vs Conor .
@@kyul9357 Average? The average belt contender has to make their way up the ranks for years to get a title shot, Conor knocked Eddie out in his first fight at lightweight.
"Winners focus on winning, Losers focus on winners, They're focused on me, I'm focused on making history." - Conor McGregor such a wise quote, one i've never heard before.
conor literally sells these fights all by himself - eddie and chad mendes are the two worst trashtalkers in the history of mankind, and nate and aldo cant speak english
say what you want about the current state of mcgregor, he may be in a dark place now, but everything hes done in an for combat sports is nothing less than legendary, not many will ever hold a torch to his legacy. dude is a lion
he is smart thats why is interesting to watch he knows whats funny and other fighters seems shy and dont know what to talk or act conor knows the game well love him
McGregor Era was was mind blowing. The confidence, fearlessness and wit. Conor is not only sublime in his striking but intelligent, funny and ruthless. Its not that he is brave, there is just a natural complete absence of all fear or anxiety. He truly has no fears. What an inspiration.
@@EarthenGames yeah man. I just come back and watch this era every now and then. It was a good time, the world was a better place covid wasn't even a thing. It's actually crazy
that era actually pissed me off more the only thing i liked from it is that fighters were paid more but being 14 and start seeing people come in the club having this idea of what it means to do martial arts becuse they saw connor. dont get me wrong theres nothing wrong with being inspired to do martial arts by him but i wont lie and say it wasent annoying to see people coming into the karate or jiu jitsu club to learn how fight in mma like connor xd
@@ghengiskhan9308 that's extremely short sighted and small minded MMA fans are so tribal the word "casual" is the ultimate insult for MMA fans but they don't realise this era grew the sport more than any ERA ever will and should be celebrated not hated
The buildup, the pre fight dialogue , the venue, the marketing, the performance, everything that went into this event was absolute gold even watching it yrs later you can see how this took the UFC brand to another level. Mcgregor’s momentum coming into this fight was incredible. Obviously their have been big events since but nothing yet has compared to the Mcgregor shows of the past. Hungry young kid that did all he set out to do and much more. Just like a shooting star Thanks for content guys ! Respect due.
No man, martial arts would be dont talk too much shit, because this is about respect, before and after the fight, the only thing that you want is freaking kids in the gyms and dojos acting like idiots thinking that they will be the next connor mcgregor only to be humbled by a real martial artist that had years in training and understands the core of this shit, the fucking values and the discipline, someone like khabib :)
@@adolfojimenez6657 That's the thing, it's not only martial arts, it's also Prize fighting. If you risk your health you might aswell make as much money as possible, why would anyone get their head smashed in for pennies?
@@D-One Yeahh thats the problem, i started my martial arts journey for the bullying and then after take away the fear from the fighting world i slowly started to love it, but almost every UFC fan is here for the gossip and the trash talk, there are only a few fans that enjoy the combat itself but i think is just part of the mainstream that fucks everything and yeah the fighters dont eat from the air :(
yeah.. me to man.. i miss the crowd i miss the full arenas i miss embeded.. embeded this days suck shit like Chris Leben says. so i watch this old shows.. old embededs and old fights.... damn i miss normal life...
He was actually waiting for Eddie to loosen up and throw his hands more because he had Eddie's timing down to a T. If you go back and watch the punch that Eddie throws, it's actually so telegraphed. He's stepping back as he raises his fist and stares directly where he wants to throw it, then stops backing up and plants his feet.
@@SideA628 Call me crazy but I always thought his debut was his best performance. That was peak Conor coming fresh off of claiming the featherweight and lightweight belts in Cage Warriors in back to back fights. The fight he had vs Ivan Buchinger for the lw cage warriors title right before his UFC debut is one of his best highlights (same pull counter he hit Eddie with) you could tell his striking was on another level even at that point. Massive for the featherweight division, young & hungry with no fame no money and no distractions. No media obligations putting him on jet planes across the nation fucking up his sleep patterns and limiting his training.
At that moment when he won that second belt he was as good as anyone could get. He lost focus and literally forgot what it took to get him there. Nobody will ever reach the heights this man exploded to.
The last fight Mcgregor was Mystic Mac the man the myth the legend... after the Mayweather fight and the whiskey and his kids he was never the same .. its a shame we never seen Conor really focus 100% on MMA after this I believe he would dominated for at least 2/3 years
@@007zinny Eddie is a wrestler and He still was not able to take him down. This version of Conor had one of the most unbelievable counters. If this Conor would have fought khabib, everytime he goes for a takedown, he would have thrown his big head of the canvas with a counter.
28:28 That was the single greatest counter punching combination I've ever seen, absolutely incredible. Even though seeing Conor being wholesome is great, everyone has to admit that they miss seeing the cocky Conor Mcgregor producing magical moments inside the octagon because that era was electrifying.
The bad part is ufc got more technical which fighters saw that all mcgrgor had was that left hand once they read that game over for conor. This is why conor cant beat these top guys anymore they have him read all the way.
@@DjSektor23 I also think that since he changed his style, it backfired on him tremendously because he doesn't have crazy power like Gaethje or Chandler, but his strengths were his elusiveness and mobility.
@@andreitomescu7847 yea gained a ton of muscle. Went against everything he said early on. Always engages instead of waiting to counter attack. N doesn't use kicks much. Throws only spinning shit. Tat piercing kick to the body was really good but don't see it anymore
@@andreitomescu7847 agreed, definitely feel like ever since he trained to box Floyd, it totally changed his style in the octagon negatively, he’s not as fluid or light on his feet anymore
I just don't understand how McGregor stays so loose so calm, no nerves, once inside the cage. There seems to be no agitation in him, no amount of hurry within him. He treats it just like any sparring session. I wonder how to be that way.
He has learned to calm his mind. I have no doubt Conor does meditation, eats foods that help him stay loose and calm, keeps his mind empty as much as possible so he can react to the situation in flow state rather than overthinking. Of all the people I look up to, I believe Conor is most similar to Bruce Lee.
@@maxcamberlin idk about shitting pants bro, I feel you have trained for it, you would do well, but there has to be some level of agitation or hyperness.... The maximum i saw that in him was the Diaz vs Mcgregor 2 3rd round. Apart from that, he's just very loose
This is the greatest all around performance of any title fight of all time. Period. An unprecedented feat with the cleanest performance we’ve seen from mcgregor. Legendary
All these forgetful haters, you can never deny Conor’s impact on the sport, the layout and look of an event and the money for fighters. Also his highs were the highest of highs, what a legend
McGregor has done what nobody else in UFC has done. He’s time spent in the cage was nothing more than class, he was the underdog and was underestimated. He goes down as one of the greatest fighters in the cage. And both belts he won in different weights!! The entertainer who is Connor mcgregor💪🏼
Man i can't lie this was a great time to be UFC/MMA fan. Especially the build up to the MSG show..Conor was still having fun with it. I could not believe he got rid of Eddie so effortlessly, imo is the best performance in a title fight..Eddie just couldnt do anything that night.
@LaCosa x he was still answering ariel helwani's "who would give you the hardest fight in the stage" After "who the fook is that guy" he says i may have to drag out floyd mayweather and see where the fuck he's at.
@@BrightBoreen Jeremy didn't do shit 🤣🤣 McGregor fucking humiliated him with what's now a classic phrase 😂Jeremy was just the dummy that caught the punch line in the face he didn't make shit Conor is just a genius at come backs, Conor mad the UFC bigger than anyone and all your favorite fighter can act as if they don't like him but they would suck he's dick to get the amount of money they got n will get because how big the UFC is today.
0:52 The best reply The McGregor era was one of a kind, UFC and the world won't have anyone like him ever The man had such an aura, he would instantly dominate every fight, every interview, every damn press conference
@@floatinggoose9197 As a Conor super-fan, I personally believe Nate, Eddie, Floyd and Khabib handled Conor’s trash talk best. Eddie’s just the only one who couldn’t get a win out of resisting Conor’s mental warfare. I’m sure Conor had Eddie rattled at times but he also got a few good jabs in there on Conor too during the buildup.
"Winners focus on winning, and losers focus on winners" Perfectly said my Conor. Throughout this entire video Conor is training, dripping in sweat, and all Eddie is doing is talking about Conor over and over again, mocking his tattoos or putting him on a punching bag.
this was one of those fights that you really did not expect the way it was going to unfold. Like we all kinda knew Connor is gonna win, but the fashion of his vitory... outstanding, absolutely insane, a masterclass
guys like cowboy need to be paid alot more dudes been fighting for so long and you never here anything with him he just turns up and fights hopefully his later years arent too harsh on him

Except he didn't get slept. Eddie never went to sleep I'm getting REALLY sick of people saying shit like this. Calling a TKO a KO. It's a huge difference and people should be smart enough to recognize it
@@HugoStiglitz88 It's not a matter of being smart. A TKO and a KO are different, everyone recognises that. But they are listed together, they are listed as TKO/KO on someone's resume because they are one in the same. We call guys like McGregor a KNOCKOUT artist, but yet most of his finishes are TKO's... it's just the way it is.
I don’t know if Larone will read this, but all the McGregor videos he’s posted have been some of my favorite to end up on the internet. I would absolutely love if he did one for Mayweather vs. McGregor, Khabib vs. McGregor, McGregor vs. Cowboy, Poirier vs. McGregor 2 and all his future fights, of which I predict there will be many.
McGregors skill set was actually ahead of the curve in the early days. It’s sad he allowed money/complacency to let the curve catch up, now he’s mid-tier at best, coulda been in the goat convo.
@ 1:00 seeing the can being taken away from Conor makes me laugh! I'll never forget that presser and him launching them cans at the Skrap pack. What a legend.
