My thoughts exactly. I can see some buying it to display for advertising but really like that they are going to tear it apart and use knowledge gained to make improvements or justify engineering decisions. Living in Ohio I can't see any truck surviving our metal-dissolving winter roads so it's amazing to see anything with this many miles as here it would be a pile of rust.

That was a mechanically injected diesel. 12v to the fuel shutoff solenoid and that’s it. No ECU. I’ve pulled mechanical injection diesels out of barns after having sat for 15 years and they still run on the old diesel in the tank. Top gear’s test was entertaining, but hardly profound. And btw, that was a Hilux, which we don’t get. The Taco isn’t even close to the hilux in terms of capability.

lightnin.K always back to basics i guess... Follow the maintenance schedule Replace the wear and tear abit before the actual time (to prevent it failing during use, which might damage other components) Dont overburden the vehicle (dont floor it, dont speed like a madman, dont overload) Keep it clean inside n out (to take care of the paint, so that the paint can protect the metal. To prevent dust and dirt ruining the wiring insulators) Drive easy when cold Try to avoid traffic jams (start and stop traffic is a guaranteed way to cut ur cars drivetrain lifespan by half). Troubleshoot asap any funny noises or weird driving sensations (jerkiness, unstable acceleration, rough noises from the engine or tires) Try to keep things stock and original/oem. Dont go cheap on parts.

Probably the best Toyota commercial I've ever seen, and it wasn't even meant to be that! We've all heard all the manufactures tell us how great their product is. How committed to quality and strength and dependability they are. I’ve never been impressed by any of these claims. I've always felt actions speak louder than words. This is proof that they are truly working on continually improving. And that’s Awesome!

Honda and Toyota are really the two biggest manufacturers for reliability. Even in fairly negligent hands, they can still last upwards of 200,000 and 300,000 miles. It'd be nice to see other manufacturers going the extra mile like we see here!

John Mcclane Nissan motors are fairly reliable, but from what I know the Titan does not have a CVT, and a 9 Speed auto instead. That would most likely last longer than a CVT. Titan is not a bad truck by any means, but some people don’t classify it as a real “truck” because it wasn’t made by Ford, Ram, or Chevrolet.

I was hoping he would correct himself but he didn't. He just kept saying it. All 4.7s have a timing belt and 07 was the last year to offer the 4.7 before offering the 4.6 Bought a 07 with the 4.7 with 22k miles for 20k off the lot. Should have kept it but ended up with a 2010 with a 5.7.

My 2009 Rav4 V6 Limited has 208,000 miles on it. Still runs great. The only repairs I've had were one wheel bearing needed to be changed. I tried, I couldn't get the bolts off, so i had to take it to the family mechanic. I changed the radiator when a rock hit it, but that's not really a mechanical issue. I actually have a hole in my condenser right now, but it's winter, so there's no rush. I'll do that as soon as it gets warmer, but that's it other than maintenance.
