MeMe, you are an awesome Christian woman, with a joyful sense of humor, and I very much enjoy all of your recpies and videos. Not only do you shine for Jesus, but He shines for YOU!!!
Thanks for sharing your funny stories. I have left pans on the stove now and then, too. Also, my good friend said she could tell I cooked peas alot by the pea burns on the bottom of one of my saucepans! You're so generous to share your funny stories with us. Love your mom's school stories!
Love your stories and can't wait to get your new cookbook. I have the first one and I love making the recipes in it. Just ordered ingredients for crab casserole. Shining for Jesus. Steve
😂 what a cute story. Taco soup looks yummy and fun. Crumbled up tortilla chips on top with cheese yuummmmm. Or cornbread. I’ve got a new recipe to try when it’s gets cooler.
😂😂😂...the soup pot story sounds EXACTLY like my daily struggles but I hide the error in the oven🤫😉👍🏻 I'll send you my tortilla soup (husband refers to it as taco soup and I have to triple it just for the 2 of us) and it's ready in ~30 mins
Great story thanks for sharing! Ive been binge watching your videos while recovering from surgery. We love taco soup here in our house. Keep shining for Jesus.
We're under a heat advisory today in Houston. I don't even care. I'm staying inside all day and making this soup. I just feel like it. Thank you for the video.
Thank you MeMe for this recipe it’s almost close too the chili I make but few ingredients different but I like this recipe and I will be making it since we are getting a little cold weather. I’ll keep Shining for Jesus and you keep shining as well and being a great example of Jesus Love!!!
You should always drain and rinse your canned beans. That foamy stuff that you wash off of them is the stuff that makes you into a Mel Brooks skit if you leave it in. Thank you for using a rubberized spoon!
I do a large jar pace mild chunky salsa, drained 2 cans Mexican corn drained 2 cans black beans drained one small can mild Rotel seasoning, several packs old el paso original taco seasoning and a large box beef broth n 2 cans consommé and I drain the cooked burger. Yours with chilli beans looks great but to me more like my normal chilli but with corn in it.
Love that story. I just watched the movie “Radio” a few weeks ago and noticed that the town in the movie was Anderson, SC. It made me think of you and this wonderful story. Love your videos and your stories.
I drain the tomatoes and I used the ones with Chili's in it. I drain my corn as well. Then I use one drained can of dark kidney beans and one can drain of light kidney beans and one can of drained black beans which gives it much more flavor than pinto beans! The key word in taco soup is taco If you don't use taco seasoning then it needs to have a different name don't you think? Just chilling with corn and it don't you think? i also add a little bit of Tony's in it for a little bit of spice. And then when serving it we put some cheese on top a little sour cream and then we use the scoopable type chips
I was just getting ready to pressure can my version of this! It makes so much that, as a widow, cooking for one, I put up pint size jars so I don't have to eat it all week. I've never seen it made without a can of black beans and one of Ro-Tel. With the taco seasoning it really does make it more of a taco tasting soup. I leave it as is if I want more of a chili texture and thin it with beef broth if I want soup. Like PeanutGallery below, I consider this a stoup. :) It makes a nice sauce over tamales, too. I prefer the scoop Fritos for the crunchy topping. It doesn't disintegrate as quickly. as tortilla chips or crackers and yet mimics the taste of cornbread.
I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned I just found you. With that being said how can I order your cookbooks?. There’s several young mothers in our family I mean several. I’ve been looking trying to find how in your descriptions. You had mentioned in one of your videos a new cookbook coming out in the spring of 2023. Can you help me please. Thank you in advance ❤️🙏🏻❤️
MeMe needs her one of those 10 in 1 mandolin slicer things for onions. Using an old cheese grater is hard on the joints. The one I got has different blade attachments for doing diced tomatoes, ricing potatoes, slicing cucumbers, etc. Very handy little doodad in the kitchen.
