It isn't just your looks that can make a difference, how your dressed can make a difference too. I went into Safeway after work in my work clothes which were professional. The clerk was very chatty with me and very friendly. When I had to go back to the store 30 minutes later after working in the yard I ended up getting the same cashier. The same cashier totally ignored me because I was wearing bib overalls and work boots.

OH, you . . . you . . . REALIST. Honestly! Yeah, women are having a difficult time with all this liberty, at least in the USA, anyway. For millennia, women were subjected to the whims of male-dominated societies. Then, when the Western Hemisphere was "discovered," male European explorers went to the New World without women. (The Democrats reacted in the next election by offering women whatever they wanted if they voted Democrat Congressmen into office. It worked.) The result gave women enough power socially to allow them to begin the long social journey toward equal treatment. The final step toward equality occurred during World War 2 when men in the USA were drafted into military service, leaving women to run the society during the absence of men at war. Thus the emergence of "Rosie the Riveter" announced the fact that women could do whatever job men had done before the war. When the men returned home at the end of the war, women demanded equality claiming they ran the country while the men were gone, thus proving they (the women) could do whatever men had done before. The number of divorces skyrocketed. Since then, women have claimed more of men's previous duties to further show more equality. The result has been to replace the previous traditional roles of men with a social and family culture with either gender performing any tasks or duties, regardless of gender. This "equal" sharing of roles in the USA and other Western Countries has caused a "backlash" from men to reject Western women and instead seek a wife partner in Asian or African countries where women still practice a subservient lifestyle.

While I understand what you're saying, if you come out the gates in your masculine, women will be feminine with you. I've witnessed some women who put off this tough persona turn into little girls real quick just by the way I talk to them. For instance, don't ask for anything, tell them what you want. I totally understand where you coming from. A couple of years ago I was determined to get a girlfriend. I worked out, took dance lessons, and tried to flirt with woman as much as possible. Some woman were offended, but others would just string me along just for fun and then later ignore me. I was in a constant state of emotional turmoil and angst. It occurred to me that I was wasting my time, wasting my life, so I stopped trying altogether. Instead I just pursue my own goals; I don't flirt with women (whatever that means), I do not initiate or make conversation. I don't even look at them in public. I am purely "transactional." I've learned this is called Stoicism. This is what I am now; it's they way to go.

You should build yourself up physically and financially to make your life better. But not to try and get a woman. A woman might come along but you should never chase one.

Indeed. The problem has always existed, but the percentage of men who are deemed unfit has skyrocketed. Mix in the overall social isolation that has arisen and average guys who used to meet women in the wild are not doing so now. This means far fewer men are overcoming that initial reaction.
